Btw, I tend to use a joystick (actually a dual-analog pad or my venerable Cyberman2) for most fps games. I just find it more chill and relaxed to kick back in my chair with an input device that is geared toward gaming rather than the hack that is keyboard + mouse. I'll agree, precise aiming is better with a mouse, but I usually would rather be relaxed and comfortable than absolutely maximize my score. Of course very, very few TWers have 'relaxed and comfortable' personalities, and thus the usual, "Y wud u want 2 use a joypenis, u nub>? lololo!" posts whenever someone asks about this. Unfortunately, Tribes does suck with joysticks/pads though. ?B-MAN 10-06-2004, 11:40 PM    On the PC Id recommend the Keyboard and Mouse to your buddy. Lot more controls on PC games vs consoles. Bridger 10-06-2004, 11:57 PM how would you look with a joystick? Assuming you use the directional for moving left-right/forward-back? javajeff 10-07-2004, 12:07 AM I think he uses the joystick to move, and the mouse to aim. I have been "searching" the forums and can find no information on joystick support. Also, there is no enable joystick button in the game. Thanks. Fling 10-07-2004, 12:24 AM you guys are jerks for using joysticks for this shazbot. Fling :D Smooth P 10-07-2004, 12:32 AM I think he uses the joystick to move, and the mouse to aim. The UT engine supports joysticks. Thus T:V supports joysticks. You DO have to edit ini files manually though. Or you could use mapping software to map your joystick axes and buttons to keystrokes and/or mouse movement. So you can definately use a joystick in T:V, though it will require a little bit of effort to set up. {RiP}Zarious 10-07-2004, 09:31 AM I play with a control pad, which you set up exaclty like you would setup a joystick. When I get home "work now" I'll post the parts of my ini that I had to modify to get it to work. It wasn't that hard, but it's rather annoying having to set all the binds to the buttons in the ini file. You can't set them from within the game, even after you enable the joystick in the ini. At least AFAIK. TF_Baxter 10-07-2004, 12:17 PM I use a JoyToKey.exe, works with every game so I no longer need to bother anyone about joystick support. PM me if you need me to send you the file.
