T2 should have taught them the necessity of a solid launch. Something like this has potential to do some significant damage to those "interested" in checking out the game soon after its release.

This is just another example of terrible business practice/decision from companies such as VUG, UBI, Sierra etc.

Whoever makes these decisions must have never played an online game. Which is no effing excuse considering the number of competent gamers out there with plenty of experience and more importantly, knowledge of the industry from the consumer side.

Hate to rain on your parade Makaveli, but VUG doesn't make the standalone servers... IGA does. While I certainly place a lot of blame on VUG for being corporate stooges in the tradition of Spaceballs 2 (The Search for More Money), IGA does need to shoulder some fault for this.

With everything that they have done right with this game, it's hard to believe that they could turn around and pull an epic boner like this.

Notice to the VUG suits:
1-copy protection like securerom is totally ineffective.
2-If you want a game to be successful, don't screw over the people who pay hard earned money out of thier own pockets to host your game and thus make your game popular.

I believe an apology is in order as well as a promise to fix this glaring mistake pronto.
