I didn't want to post this in the "North American Competition" thread since our goal is not necessarily competition (although we will do some if there is interest). We mostly want to have a bunch of people playing Tribes as a group, coordinating actions over teamspeak and focusing on the fun of playing well together. People of all skill levels are welcome. We have poeple with no Tribes experiences as well as veterans.

Are you looking for a team where you can improve your skills and compete? Do you not only want to win, but most importantly want to have fun playing your favorite game online with good friends? Do you treat players with respect, and in turn want the respect you deserve?

Our North American based guild is made up of adult and mature gamers who value teamwork, skill, competing, and above all our commitment to each other. Although Factor VIII Contingency institutes a structured gaming environment, with an average age of early to mid 30s, Factor VIII has adopted the philosophy of "Life first, gaming second." With this in mind, we have become more than just the pixilated representations on the battlefield and are comrades off the field of battle as well.

Factor VIII, or F8, currently play Call of Duty, Unreal Tournament 2004, an now Tribes: Vengeance. We offer our members a great deal such as:

• Passworded members only areas that contain detailed gaming information and help from our members for our members.
• POP3 email for each member.
• TeamSpeak server on a T1 line to talk to your team mates instead of stopping game play to type.
• Download custom maps and patches from the Factor VIII Server and forget waiting in line.
• Dedicated T1 Game server for your online enjoyment that are policed by several admins
• Controlled and secure forums to talk with your team mates.

We are currently looking for players of ALL skill levels, as attitude, teamwork and respect come first. We do hold frequent, comprehensive training sessions that are not mandatory to attend, but you will find many "regulars" through out the team to share knowledge and tactics on a personal level. We are still running a demo server at this point so that people with the demo can still experience the game.
We are also waiting for the CD required for the dedicated server issue is resolved. The guys at edgegamers are great, so if we have to we'll find a legal solution to upload the CDs to the server, but hopefully IG will address the problem so that we don't have to.

the server is in TX and should be getting good pings throughout North America.
