4 Discs? come on now....

I didn't have a dvd drive in my system until about a year ago. I never watch movies on my PC (have the tv for that) and nothing really came on dvd format anyway.

If T:V ends up sucking you have 4 coasters instead of 1 :shrug:

Its just 4 cds, besides its not like they make you need 6 discs
like ut2k4 and the upcoming halflife 2 will require

and another thing as much as you would think to believe not everyone has a dvd player installed... and there are people who wont get one because they feel its completely unnecessary...

look if sierra did decide to release it only on wone type of medium then it will be a medium that everyone could use...

Geez. There are some who don't have a CD drive. So make it floppy? No because floppy disks suck. So do CDs. Get over it.

and besides if the computer has winxp, you have a cdrom drive... as you can only get winxp on a cd

no... i have built my own computer....

it still has parts from even before the dvd rom even came out...

i got a p4 2.4
512mb ram
geforce 4 ti

and guess what it still has a CD-ROM (which by chance is the one of the only 3 origional parts that came from my first computer build)

the others is 2 hard drives, one at 6gb and one at 8gb
i recently added a 20 gig a 40 gig and a 80 gig



yes all computers sold prebui;lt will have a dvd rom... but computers that was built by the user actually may not have a dvd rom..

and right now i have more important things to do than get a dvd rom...
and unless there is a law that requires people to install a dvd rom into their computers that will always be a possibility

:nag: Because 4 CDs are effing annoying as hell. One DVD is easier to keep track of, easier to install with and faster to install with.

Plus installing a DVD-ROM isn't rocket science. I could teach my 12 year old cousin to do it. Set the DVD-ROM as slave, plug in the power and IDE, boot up and you're good to go. Its like putting lego blocks together.Easier to keep track of?

Maybe you need to clean your room, then go to Office Depot and buy a CD Valet. I've seen them as low as $3.99 at Wal-Mart. They cost much less that a DVD drive, don't require training, and they can hold your other games too!

Bottom line is that Sims2 and UT2K4 can afford to publish their games in 2 formats because they know they are going to get big sales numbers. T:V is a bit of a risk to begin with, and adding unnecessary production costs just isn't going to happen.

i had a cd player in my room before i had a comp with a cd-drive. its called progress you goddamn idiot. i mean jesus the game is more expensive than the dvd-drive. people like you are the reason the transition is so slow. "wahhh i dont wanna spend $20 and 10 minutes to get a dvd drive" It sucks that everyone else is forced to wait on you retards.

i have a dvd drive i scavenged outta a computer someone was selling. i dont remember how to install it. i dont have 50$ to get it installed. any help avalible?
