since the demo, anytime i'm in a tourney mode server it's like i have major PL. if the same server is NOT in tourney mode, everything is fine. at first i thought it was the server i was on but now it's happened on 2 servers. everyone else on the server has no problems like this. i'm sorta at a loss for what could be wrong, but it definately appears to be on my end. the only thing i can do effective in tourney mode now is outrun my own disc :|

any help would be great.

AMD Athlon64 3400+

Geil Ultra Series 512MB PC3200 X2
NVIDIA FX5900 Ultra

my demo is installed on a RAID0 config which consists of 2x WD Raptures @10,000RPM
connection is 3meg DSL.

Are there some cheat countermeasures that would be active in tourney that otherwise would not be active?

Tourney is unplayable since they didn't fix it.

I played in a match on Wednesday with tourney mode. 10v10. Ran flawlessly.

Gee thanks for the report. This must mean that the tourney mode is flawless.

So because you complain, that must mean it is bugged. But because I say it worked fine for me, I must be lying. How about you post actual server configurations instead of ridiculous computer specs which help no one.

You've already proven your idiocy when it comes to tweaking a computer by the simple fact that you're running SP2. Care to prove it further by spouting more ignorance?

the majority of the people that played in the same match i played in had no problems, therefore i can only assume that it's something on my end.

and 4nik doesn't intend to be mean, he's just canadian :E

Well first of all, to help Vyle, the server is a dual Xeon P4 2.4, 2 gig PC800 RDRAM. Its loaded with a fully patched Win 2k Pro install, with the only services running being Sygate firewall, T:V, and a TS2 server. As he mentioned, his is the only client experiencing the excessive Packet loss issue in Tourney mode. I wouldnt point my finger at the server, unless other people were experiencing the same pl issue in the same server at the same time. As Vyle said he thinks its client side.

You are ridiculous to imply that i "tweaked" my computer by installing SP2. What the eff is that supposed to mean. Are you implying that I should need to "tweak" my computer to play this game? I would imagine it SHOULD be playable out of the box, irregardless of the patch level of my O.S. I hardly think youre qualified to pass judgement on my level of computer experience, what with your credentials of being a game forum admin.

I posted what I did to express my displeasure at the fact that Tourney mode appears to be still plauged with bugs. Hey, maybe Im wrong, we will find out on the 5th, but if the final retail is anything like the demo, this thing is going to require a lot of patching before its perfect.

Quit being such a cheerleader for IG, I never implied you were "lying", but it certainly appeared that you were defending the title (yet again) with a one time personal experience. Obviously there are lots of people who havent had issues yet, it called posting the obvious.

Geh, I should have posted to this thread instead of starting a new one, sorry.

I am experiencing packet loss in-game also. But not just in tourney mode. Details here -
