[TV] MA Mortars...

Dude was spamming from the other base and they would blow up MA right above the flag. The furthest one hit about where the fence is. They should have to hit something IMO.

i tend to agree. although i think the purpose for this is to prevent the "blind spam" that we grew to know in Tribes 2. where i could stand out of bounds and rain mortars down on the turret, HoF, doorways, sensor and anything else i deemed important enough.

You can't even shoot them beyond visual range anymore, and now they blow up in midair?

awesome, now instead of making floating waypoints to aim at to hit a spot directly, I can apply a much more deadly mid-air explosion wherever I want as long as I know how far away I am!!! even if it's just 10 meters above the flag!!

well i actually agree that it should explode because otherwise people will just spam mortars from out in the middle of nowhere to ur base, and same with like rocket pods, it would be extremely irritating if the rockets didnt blow up after a certain distance

Hmm, Probably possible with most other projectiles too. Now that they all blow up at the visual range max.

what I really don't like is that a lot of the weapons don't even hit things you can see. did they base the distance on a low fog setting or what?

new addition. i tried and tried and tried to get this to happen. couldn't get it to blow up in the air no matter how far i flung that green turd. got tired of trying tonight, but am curious if a higher firing-elevation will bring on this effect.

I've had that happen with grenade launcher on Winterlake... Then later I was on a different map and shot one further without blowing up in the air... so iono.

On a side note, what is the range of the sniper rifle? I cant hit things at the edge of visibiity :(

I think it's a graphics/net code bug...

we were messing around with mortars on a server I was hosting, and to me the mortars were blowing up on the ground, but someone else saw them blowing up in mid air.

Range is less than visible distance (high fog).

I would say all but 3 blew up in midair. If someone practiced that, n1.

It's NOT a lazer rifle.

It's a rifle the uses a lazer to form a vacuum tunnel so the bullet can travel without the inpedment of air resistance--very sci-fi and cool.
