BEML and T:V

I know everyone has been lying awake at night wondering what BEML's plans are for Tribes:Vengeance. The current thinking is that we're going to have a CTF pre-season starting about October 10th and running for 3 weeks or more. We'll use that time to gather rules suggestions, map feedback, and so forth, as well as to admit new member teams. This would put the start of the first CTF season at around October 31st (at the earliest).

It's not clear at this point whether we'll be running leagues for the other gametypes, but I suspect that we'll try to get something going for Fuel and "Arena" if there is interest, though we may not turn our attention to those until CTF is underway.

The Blood Eagle Mini League is a smallish group running leagues for Tribes and Battlefield teams that value good sportsmanship.

Are you going to continue your method of having teams try out to join your ladder by having admins witness scrims and keep up the no hurting other teams feelings via in game chat menu stuff?

You guys should make a league for Ball as well. I'd like to see that game type take off.

due to my increased involvment in school, etc....beml is starting to sound good to me instead of more competitive ladders (tw, twl, etc...)

If you are a team captain, BEML is probably more work than the major ladders. Their processes are generally more streamlined than ours, sometimes significantly so. And we get teams involved in the membership process and rules discussions and whatnot. And there's a match to be scheduled every week. We hopefully make up for it in atmosphere for teams that value the neighborhood feel.

For players, yeah, there are definitely some teams there that can accomodate people who won't have perfect attendance, and who won't have time to perfect their routes before each match.

We'll give it a shot if there's interest. Really it only takes like 6 teams to get off to a reasonable start.

There's a huge advantage to doing it this way as long as the attitude isn't one of win at all costs and be as annoying as possible to your opponent.

It's a simple concept that appeals to some players (including myself sometimes). Imagine never seeing KGB on your ladder

Some people's idea of having fun playing a tribes version is to just enjoy the gameplay, some enjoy spamming, some enjoy both. To each their own :)

|FS| The Fellowship may be interested. We require similiar qualities in all our players and have been around a long time as a team. Might drop in and check it out.
