A good question is: Will this hack (or whatever you want to call it) be useable in the demo and/or full release?
Is there a speed cheat out?TheGrudge 09-29-2004, 11:56 AM A good question is: Will this hack (or whatever you want to call it) be useable in the demo and/or full release? ViRGE 09-29-2004, 12:08 PM oh god please somebody tell me the whoile myg0t thing is just a joke oh god how can anyone be that pathetic thats like oh god why why!?!?! DAMN YOU INTERNET wake me up already this is not funny anymore hahahfsagfsadfasdIt's real. We had to remove a myg0t and a player called "MrTrip" from one of the HomeLAN servers last night. Jambalaya Pretzelstein 09-29-2004, 12:25 PM actually i can plus mines dont kill me since i go to fast and i can outrun turrets and destroy an entire base in seconds  he can outrun turrets and destory a base in seconds! you don't need cheats for that, buddy. You don't even need skill Speedhack isn't a worry because in the retail game speedhack protection will work. Perma IFFs, wallhacks, etc are nearly useless due to sensor The only problem would be if someone made an autoaim, except due to the slow-projectile nature of the weapons it would have be like L-Spiro's T1 autoaim not one of those newbie "follow the pink skin" things that only work with hitscan. Actually though happymod2 used the same techniques as L-Spiro for the lance/snipe autoaim, except he didnt extend this to discs and stuff. It would only be like 1 more calculation though, since hm2 already accounted for velocity and ping. All he needed to add in was projectile travel time. Virtus 09-29-2004, 12:27 PM Things would also be better if the vote/ban/kick system actually worked. Uncle Silas 09-29-2004, 12:51 PM actually i can plus mines dont kill me since i go to fast and i can outrun turrets and destroy an entire base in seconds myg0t bitches, we own everything www.myg0t.com So this is what happens to a person when their parents force them to have sex with monkeys. That's really sad. FantasticDamage 09-29-2004, 12:53 PM Two very different methods of approach, one which induces the outcome, one which produces the outcome. I'll leave you to decide why the one that produces the outcome is much more efficient and applicable than the one that induces it. Man, that sounds exactly like a question my Algorithms and Data Structures teacher would ask on a quiz. Anyway, one of the downsides of the speedhack I noticed in your recordings is that your energy seems to deplete at a quicker rate as well. Am I wrong in saying that though your speed is indeed increased, you couldn't maintain the kind of long sustained flights that other people have been witnessesing? This supposed speed hack that's been going around must be a little more involved to allow for quicker speeds without increasing the rate in which you depleat energy. And if it's not possible, then I don't see the subtle use of this speedhack (enough to go under a speed hack radar, or go unnoticed), being very useful. While you might get a ground speed and rate of fire increase comparable to that of a speedpack or maybe slightly faster, you're sacrificing air time. And if you're sacrificing air time, that makes you an easier target. ruready 09-29-2004, 01:55 PM Man, that sounds exactly like a question my Algorithms and Data Structures teacher would ask on a quiz. And if you're sacrificing air time, that makes you an easier target. Everything in the Game World is running at a higher frequency, so of course it's going to appear that I'm getting less air time. If you were to take everything in the Game World and slow it down, it'd appear like I'm getting more air time. Any benefits that come of the hack will be based clearly on the logic in which it's applied. For example, if my player is on the ground, invoke it, if I'm not on the ground, revoke it. Simple logic, based on precision tuned numbers could yeild very beneficial possibilities. As to what people are witnessing, I have no idea. I have yet to see any videos that would indicate that, but that doesn't rule out the possibility. | ||
