I haven't tested. I didn't know there was a way to test frames in-game. Explain if there is. Otherwise, I think I'm a fairly good judge of fps... and I can say that the game runs fluid to me. Feels like at least 50 fps. No stutering unless there's lag in the server. No choppiness at all in single player.

I built this system for Doom 3 and Half-Life 2. This game runs perfect on it. I also turn off all programs running in the background.
add -console to the end of the "start in" window under your TV shortcut properties. Tab opens console, stat fps shows your fps (duh)

Actually, it isn't too wierd at all...the GF4 TI's are superior to the early FX models.

AMD Athlon 1700+
1024 PC2100 DDR RAM
Geforce4 TI 4200 w/ 64 DDRAM

1024x768
Custom

I turn everything on low/off except for Textures (High), World Detail(Med), Terrain Deco (On) and Fogging Distance(High).

I get from 25-35 depending on the map and situation. :browsmile

I get different results from using stat fps in-game as opposed to Fraps. The in-game graph will drop to 19-22 at some points, while the Fraps benchmarking utility says my lowest framerate was 32. So which one is correct? It never seems to get choppy, so this makes me think stat fps doesn't work so well. (On a side note, stat net shows some crazy results too...but that's another thread.) Has anyone else experienced this?

Anyway, here are my specs:
XP 2600 (333FSB)
A7N8X Deluxe (using Soundstorm audio)
1GB Corsair
9700 Pro
running the game @ 1024x768x32 High Detail/Ultra High draw distance (no AA/AF)

Athlon XP 1800 (1.56Ghz)

exactly the same except with a ATI 9600 256mb

AMD Athlon XP 2800 @ 2.08ghz
512MB PC3200 ram
Geforce 6800 128mb at 780/395

On 1280x1024 with everything on ultra high, my FPS will be over 60 continually, but it'll drop sometimes to about 15 because of my ram (mostly a freeze).

Do you have the same processor/ram speeds that I do? I use the catalyst drivers with my 9800 Pro. As stated in my specs, I have an M-Audio Delta 66 soundcard. It's a professional musician's soundcard used more for recording and editing than gaming... but it works great with games also. I just don't get the 5.1 surround :(.
you should buy a chaintech av-710 soundcard that you run your games off. you can have it shipped to your house from newegg for less than 30 dollars. the sound quality is as good as your delta card but doesnt have all the other high end options (analog/digital ins/outs etc). but its capable of 7.1 (not that anything uses that) and performs as well as any non creative card in games.

Ya, that sounds about right. The 9600XT is about on par with the higher Geforce4 TI's. I get about 30 with my TI 4200 with the same settings except I can't stand 800x600, so I upped the resolution.

Radeon 9800 Pro gets 30 here on ultra-high (w/ 2700+), a 9600 should be slightly over half of that I'd guess. Doesn't sound right to me. We have a secondary computer with a geforce 4 ti4200 and it's running the game on your settings.

Fun thread :D
Asus A7N8X v2.0
2500XP @ 2.2Ghz
512MB PC3200 3-3-3-11
Ti4200 64MB @ 300/620 (All Driver Settings to High Performace, No AA or AF)
super l33t SBPCI 128

I play T:V with
1024x768
Medium Settings (w/ Ultra-High Fog)
and 100FOV

on busy servers(20+) I get at least 30fps and average 40-50 (except winterlake where I sometimes drop below 30 :closet: )
