Why do webpages like www.ebgames.com for example, show the release date as the 12th?
If release is Oct 5th... then...TheGrudge 09-28-2004, 12:36 PM Why do webpages like www.ebgames.com for example, show the release date as the 12th? BitRaiser 09-28-2004, 12:37 PM because EB is fooked {A} PR24 09-28-2004, 01:03 PM ofn DraxCJV 09-28-2004, 01:04 PM I went to EB (Canada) yesterday and they said they will have it Oct. 7th. FreshMeat 09-28-2004, 01:11 PM Call the store, they usually have an updated date. =H|B=TechKrill 09-28-2004, 01:32 PM And the original date was the 12th and some sites are just slow like that :) TheGrudge 09-28-2004, 02:17 PM www.ebgames.com is connected to EB's in store computers. The release date shown on the webpage reflects the release date in their computers. Go to any store and ask them what the release date is, and I guarantee they will say the 12th. Ebgames.com is the place I usualy go for release dates. They keep it up to date... and it's reliable. Anyone know any other pages to check release dates on, that show the Oct 5th release date? Amadeus 09-28-2004, 02:31 PM The release date is October 5th. There is no delay. Amazon is probably reporting the wrong date because we actually moved it UP a week a while back. At one point it was 10/12. It's not any more. The release date is 10/5. I repeat, the release date is October 5th, 2004 in the United States. There is no spoon. Please remove your tinfoil hat. There has been no change to the release date since it was announced. October 5th, 2004. October 5th, 2004 is the release date. Convincing enough? TheGrudge 09-28-2004, 04:09 PM lol... clasic Ender P. Wiggin 09-28-2004, 04:42 PM So, is the release date still October 5th? TheGrudge 09-28-2004, 04:44 PM Hmm... try checking www.ebgames.com. BLuE_ZeRO 09-28-2004, 04:50 PM Hmm... try checking www.ebgames.com. In this case ebgames is wrong. It's the 5th. TheGrudge 09-28-2004, 05:10 PM In this case ebgames is wrong. It's the 5th. Doy :ftard: Bullseye 09-28-2004, 05:27 PM So, is it 'released' to the shipping lanes on the 5th or will it be shipping before the 5th and on the shelves on the 5th. So, if it's shipping the 5th then the release really means to the shippers and not to the gamer so that the release date of the 5th doesn't really mean shazbot to the gamers who'll likely not see it until the 6th or 7th but not on the 5th unless they work for UPS or FedEx or even that upstart DHL. In that specific case then I'm sure that calling the release date the 5th works out just fine. However to the majority of people here, who aren't employees of said corporations, a release date of the 5th referring exclusively to the releasing of said game to the shipping lanes of the planet on which we reside would be summarily inaccurate causing a huge influx of patients into emergency rooms world wide suffering from acute anuerisms and dangerously high blood pressures. LuRcH 09-28-2004, 05:58 PM Guess I'll lose $5. Atrocious 09-28-2004, 06:01 PM so.... its the 12th? blast of death 09-28-2004, 06:10 PM so.... its the 12th? no, ebgames gets the dates wrong with nearly every game, trust me. :cat: MasterGnr 09-28-2004, 06:13 PM they probably wanted to get it released before the World Cyber Games or whatever its called on the 7th.....why show off a beta when you can show off the real theng? Atrocious 09-28-2004, 06:14 PM no, ebgames gets the dates wrong with nearly every game, trust me. :cat: no i dont trust you! only EBGAMES! ahh :cat: | ||
