Heavies still dominate. I have been in many servers where I couldn't get any caps let alone suited up because my base was constantly down.

I am going to be playing T:V after demo, i am excited to see what they have fixed and improved.

You have been in many server huh. Play a real match and get back to me.

I think what'll determine it for me is some of the moddability that gets shown. I find the current beta to be somewhere on my sliding-scale-o-games in the average section. I'd really like to get a feel for how well possible mods of classic-T1 or classic-T2 or base++ or (snowball's chance in hell :rofn: ) HaVoC might end up.

sensor jammer pack? wtf?
Hehe. <whistles nonchalantly from another thread>

Pfft. Non-match play is most of the play hours a game sees, and if the pub play sucks nobody will ever get interested enough to form clans, so pubs mean plenty of jack.

Which teams exactly are you speaking of that used "all lights" to dominate where mediums and heavy didn't play any major roles?

i have it preordered anyway so i'll own it. doesn't mean i'll play it.

i don't really wanna get sucked into tribes for another 3 years, especially now that i'm in college.

i'm not digging the interface, seems like it took a step backwards from t1/t2. couple other things need to be ironed out too.

If it's anything like the beta I'll buy it. The pros way outweight the cons for me. T:V may not be "epic", but it's by far the best MP FPS to be developed in a long long time.

The demo pretty much sets everything in stone. Apart from a few minor tweaks, I think it is safe to assume that the game we'll be playing tomorrow will be what we'll be buying come early October.

For me, so far, the game has been okay, but it hasn't pushed me to play countless hours like the others. It all feels very superficial, very "disconnected". Is it the bland maps? The physics? The "if it ain't broke, we'll break it anyways" mentality of some features (inventory, chat)? No idea.

The game is well-made, well-crafted. Hats off to Irrational, but will that be enough? A beautiful game, strong, robust... but no soul. There's just too many "small things" that irk me right now. Will the demo change that? What adjustments will we see? Physics? Movement? Interface? Netcode?

For me, tomorrow's version will determine if I try to play competitively, or if I go back to the land of WoW/Guildwars.

How about you?

I agree. This demo will shape my decision of either supporting the game or looking for something else.

Why would i play matches in a game that is only beta. You must be playing some very simple teams then. In every Tribes game heavies and meds contributed greatly.
