The name basically says it all. The radar is really useless in regards to base D/repair and turret maintenance. Who knows how many times I've spent what feels like hours looking for the most retarded, obscure place that "L33tm0mf0c/<3r" decided to put the repair deployable. And turrets can be equally annoying.

And if some knob has it on his back in heavy, you can't tell! He'll wander for 25 minutes and never die because he dinks around the base, and the pack will be useless :|

Just my own frustration, and it only really affects pubs and crappy teams :o But STILL, it's goddamn annoying! A little R and little T's or little icons or w/e would be awesome.

Is there anyway to make the icons bigger on the command map? particularly the little impossible dots that mark players...

I put the repair turret right next to the burner turret so I can always help out the flag D. But yeah, in pubs, I hate not knowing where that thing is.

And bigger dots would be most welcome. I tried doing it myself, but I wasn't allowed to join a server because of the altered pkg.

I tend to miss RISes aswell, they're overlooked very easy.

gonstone was saying the exact same thing last night, and i agree with him.
we've even lost the names on the command screen. THERE ARE NO NAMES ON THE COMMAND SCREEN. i guess no one bothered to ask the top t1 and t2 teams to see if they used this feature? if they did they would've been responded with "eff hell yeah!"

i would like to see names of players on the cc screen, maybe radar, and for you poor turret monkeys, at the very very least the locations of deployed items. (which for this game would include mines as well)

yeah i've requested an altered radar hud to make visibility, more like sonar, maybe a "blip" with color spanning outward system.

doesn't have to be monochome, but even this is more viewable.

if you could make it transparentish that'd be ideal.

I just want big letters on the radar with R for repair, S for sensor, T for turrets, I for inv, A for ammo. The command screen's lack of player names is also annoying as hell.

The only task that's not tedious when using the radar is watching for tiny little moving red dots and hell, even that is a pain in the ass.

Player awareness was much more fun, they'll stupify anything to gain a buck. Fuckin Americans.

I miss all the shazbot that made Tribes, Tribes and hate all the shazbot that screams UT 2008.

I find the active radar thing takes a big slice out of the paranoia feeling I got in T1/2. Part of the fun in defense was never knowing where the enemy was coming from until you got a visual on them (unless you were smart enough to augment your sensor network).

I don't really dig the omnipotent sensors either. Honestly, I don't wanna know were all the badguys are! I liked sensor shadows you could duck into/use to sneak up on the enemy!

But... it's a new ballgame. Different rules to adapt to, I guess.
Atleast until the mods start coming out.

meh, the sensor is good, its one more objective to defend/destroy. it changes gameplay alot and makes strats that much more complicated. it is just very lacking in what it picks up. i definately agree - it SHOULD pick up deployables/objects/base stuff

I'd like to have the T1 command screen back, and don’t take this as a T1 wishy washy post. I want T:V to be different, but why scrap a system that works for one that’s complete garbage?

The T:V command screen looks like a effing notepad compared to T1's, which looks like a satellite feed.

Put the players names back on the right hand side, have waypoints available and remove the fact that you can see enemies from all the way across the map.

Not to mention that if someone has a good enough comp, they can turn the fogging distance all the way up and see halfway across the map. I also never liked the T2 style flag locators, that show up permanently on the radar. I think the fogging distance should be capped, like every other game out there for competition.

Um, the T1 command screen served no point. Waypoint scripts removed the need for it. All it was ever used for was quick peaks to see if someone was in radar range on the other side of a hill.
