{A} PR24 10-03-2004, 06:42 PM 103 this morning wtf
It's very obvious the Gamespot can pick and choose were games are placed on the rankings. The game gets close to the top ten only to keep dropping 50 points in 1 day, it's all over the place. It's a BS ranking system and I would not be suprised it money was a factor is were each game gets advertised rank wise on their site.
pyrot3chnic 10-03-2004, 09:12 PM Did anyone make a thread like this in GD? Might get better results there. No need for a couple people to spam and make it so obvious to gs if you can get 500 to click on 4-5 links..

I'm pretty sure Gamespot puts all their newly reviewed games that are worthy of mentioning in their top 10 for at least the first day after the review is posted. Whether or not it stays in the upper bracket after that is due to interest in the game.
On a side note, an 8.8 from Gamespot, not bad at all. I appreciate most of their reviewers for being harsh critics. Anything over 8.5 is worth getting in my opinion. Their reviews focus a bit too much on single player, FarCry got a 9.2 and it's multiplayer was just an afterthought, but what you gonna do?

That's just about the time under which you get the feel of the game and realize that you should stop groundhugging and chainwhoring and start jetting and skiing instead.
What should they put there, 3 years?

Hurricane Harold 10-09-2004, 06:17 PM T:V is number 4 on the list. And of all things, System Shock 2 is number 1.
Irrational has conquered Gamespot.
