Vivendi teams with ATI for Tribes: Vengeance marketing

Publisher, graphics card manufacturer will co-promote multiplayer battle game next month.

Vivendi Universal Games today announced that the company will partner with graphics card manufacturer ATI Technologies to market its upcoming PC title Tribes: Vengeance. The two companies will collaborate in their efforts to promote the multiplayer battle game, which uses the Unreal engine, through "advertising campaigns, special events, and online evangelism." Tribes: Vengeance will be released on October 5 in the US.

I played Tribes 2 for like 2 years and now what happens? THEY RUIN IT! All of you non Tribes vets, don't tell me its because its in beta, this is the real deal here. Its the game itself, smaller maps, less packs, less weapons, and so on! No shocklance, no base rape, not only that, this is just like a UT2k4 mod gone wrong, like others have said. Read the most recent news story on HL2. Apparently Vivendi is threatening to delay HL2 for up to 6 months (some dumb catch in the contract) if Valve doesn't drop or settle their lawsuit against Vivendi (Sierra gave away free copies of HL1 to internet cafes without Valve's knowledge or consent, and refused to pay royalties on it). I'd think that could be considered something new.
