i think this way its less a campfest around the spawnpoint and it will be alot easier to set up some form of grouped attack like in basketball
(u move to O together and cover ball carrier and make plays)
this insight i arrived at playing couple games of ball

u could let it spawn in base
where the whole team spawns
if the nmy can score over and over from there well u better give up anyway
yes forced respawn could be necessary dunno
might be a bit annoying though
the idea is to give the other side the ball after a score
how that can be done is subject to experimenting

Because honestly, the way it is now is no better than the enemy scoring over and over. They just score, run back and grab the ball from the center, score again. You never have to go back to your side.

forced respawn could be done with some sort of timer so u can readjust and have new team orders
like theres a score and then u got 5 secs for next spawn
but this has tobe tried to see the obvious flaws
best way is to have the ball spawn in secured area only 1 team can pick it up (also needs a timer or u can leave it when u 2-1 ahead)

Ball definately needs a tweak like this, as it's not very fun the way it is now. Plus getting the ball after being scored on would DEFINATELY encourage regrouping and teamwork as opposed to the camping/cowboying festival it is now. Having the ball spawn in your spawn area would work best, IMO. The enemy could still try and camp there as opposed to in the middle, but it would be much harder for them to succeed. Also, there could be a X second period where only the defending team could pick up the ball if needs be.
Forced respawns are completely unnecessary though, as the 'defending' team could choose to respawn at base at any time in order to get the ball or clear out their spawn area. The pickup delay could allow people to respawn and get the ball before the enemy even if a respawn timer was in effect.

i want the ball to arc and have nearly the speed of a disc. it would make passing MUCH cooler and done more often. as its right now its too slow.

I agree the ball should move much faster. I understand that they didn't want it to be easy to hit long-range shots, but with a goalie that's paying attention long-range shots should be blocked anyway.

SOMETHING certainly has to be done to help goalies. As it is now it's pretty damn impossible to block shots due to how easily the goalie gets knocked around / killed. Maybe the goalie should have a lot more mass and be immortal? Of course this means designating a specific person 'THE goalie', which currently isn't done.
Edit: Yeah, my two points kinda are kinda paradoxical, but if both changes are made then there isn't a contradiction.

maybe the devs can help oversee someone working on it. i dont see them as making a magnetic gun model for a goalie any time soon.
love the sound efx though.
also, it'd be nice if the ball "lit up" like the jetfire from a player so it was more visible as it flew. maybe like dragon ball z ppl playing ball.
