I honestly didnt get a chance to read the entire message because I was concentrating on returning the flag. At first I thought it was the normal MA message, but when I realised it wasn't it dissappeared.

I like little things like that. For instance I maxxed out all the settings in UT2004. You get this "HOLY shazbot" message. I thought it was kinda cool.

Actually, I got those from some CS servers when you knife people. I never played much UT2K4 to even know.

I really wish they had custom weapon kill messages, instead of these new "X [weapon picture] Y"

As much as I loved the Kpack, I think it's nice the way it is in T:V. Keeps the kills and chat separate.

Given that after a single map, you've seen them all at least twice, it doesn't really matter at all. The "oh-so-funny" messages add nothing to the game.

I find it hard to believe--I got a freaking mid-air-mortar (yes, on a player) today and nothing came up... Hm.

Wait, did it actually say 'Of Devestation'? Because I've seen the regular MA message often.

Are you sure you didnt MA a guy named Devestation? And since you didnt realy see it i think thats what happend.

I just tested this with a team-mate, and at the maximum range of the disc we still got the normal midair message. It looks like he MA'ed Devestation and misread.
