black Label . ... How about you stop talking now.

A top 5 clan means nothing. Without context its just a number/placeholder that makes you feel better.

Johnny X saying he was in [Khorne] does hold value because people can then assosiate his name with an amazing clan full of great people who knew how to play the game of T1 better than most others.

Oh shazbot man, you want a handwipe for your lips? It has shazbot all over it.

This has got to be the dumbest argument ever. Doesn't anyone remember back when the Tribes 1 demo came out? What was the ONLY ctf map released for the demo? Raindance. Yet, people still played the demo for 2 years. No one bitched or whined about only having 1 ctf map, people just played it. Jesus H. Christ, using the same '4 maps' crap as the reason why T:V is loosing it's interest is getting old.

You're a effing moron. If it's getting old stop posting and reading the forums, problem solved.

You don't need to compensate your movement at aiming. Shooting in T:V is EXACTLY the same like in UT99 or Q1. It's a HUGE step back.

Late reply but...do you really think so? Maybe I need you to elaborate on "compensating your movement at aiming," the wording is a bit confusing. I know I have to increase my lead when I and the target begin moving faster. I'm just not able to connect how it's like UT...but maybe I just haven't played enough of it.

Gonna buy ut2k4, even if I end up disliking base (which is likely since the demo did nothing for me) there are about 50 mods out now.

i am expecting lots of fixes and tweaks in the released version, compared to this beta. biggest issues for me have been the non-reg shots, warping cappers, trippy vehicle physics, etc. etc.

is it just me or is it really hard to maintain your horizontal momentum after grabbing the flag?
I am still getting used to the skiing but something doesn't feel quite right and i can't seem to put my finger on it.

Play an honest scrim and tell me the game has no depth. Pubs can suck a dick.

well, that leaves most of us who just casually play outside of clans out in the cold, now dosnt it?

You think you have the whole game figured out till you play 30 minutes on emerald in a scrim, with the final score being 6-6. T:V certainly does have depth.

That's funny, in a scrim we had alot of guys questioned the depth of the game.

Well, thats all we do, either a scrim or a match 3 times a week. I'm seeing a lot more to this game with each one.

For me, the damn game keeps inventory freeze every 30-an hour. I hate this crap and what makes it very annoying is that I am downloading something in the background which takes several hours and guess what happens when the PC freezes? I have to start all over. This is the fourth effing time.

I learned after the third. But anyway, this is the reason I am not playing right now thus there is one less person playing than would be.

When the beta started, there were some 1300 people playing. The number gradually dropped until yestrday's 700 people at EST peak hours. Today it still holds at 700, but it's weekend.

What is going on?
I for one was in the middle of a hurricane.

That said, i wasnt really itching to jump back into TV once i got power back last night. It just doesnt have the same addiction for me that T2 had. I hope its just the maps.

The inventory lockup can be gotten around by just using the quick inventory/chat key. Not only does it not lockup but it's way faster to boot.

I didn't read all 9 pages, but I haven't played in over a week for a few reasons.

First the maps suck. Bases are so shallow and ridiculously open in this game that it's just retarded having to repair every 15 seconds because another heavy just raped your base because your gen is 3 feet from the entrance or on Emerald where your base isn't even protected at all.

Second is that it just feels like UT2k4 and not Tribes. The graphics are overly cartoony and bright like UT2k4 and everything from movement to weapons feels like UT. I don't like UT.

Third is how dumbed down the game is. I didn't play T2, but in T1 everything was more technical, from loadouts to defense. T:V does just feel like a fragfest, in T1 you felt like you had a role on your team. In T:V I always feel like I'm doing the same thing as anyone else. Everything is small and overly fast paced for the ADD kids of UT.

I thought it was fun when I first played it but at this point I don't even have any desire to, and I definitely won't be buying the retail. It has no lasting appeal, at least for me.
