I couldn't find any information on this bug when I searched.
I know this first part has already been reported, but it is required to reproduce the bug.
Grab the enemy flag. Throw it anywhere that you can get it to float in the air (works best if you throw it onto the top of your flag). Then while it is still floating in the air, grab it again, and if you look at your player in the 3rd person view, the flag will float above your player the same way it floated in the air, and won't go into the flag holder on your back.
