[REQUEST] Variable Buckler Throw Distance

Once you throw the buckler, the longer you hold the fire button, the farther it will fly.

Conversely, if you're close to an enemy, you can release the buckler, and limit it's flight distance by releasing the fire button.

OnFire would send it flying, OnRelease would turn it around and bring it home.

Thanks for reading.

ps - personally i would like to see the buckler's max range extended, but would be most beneficial if the above was implemented to aid in short range buckler combat.

or a second button press to turn it around would be good too.

Well, switching to another weapon already calls back the buckler, so if you are good you can get a very quick two hits in. The problem is that you can't control it on the way back if you do it that way, it comes back pretty much straight to you.

Still, :signed: (Pressing fire button again might be best, that way it matches the grappler in the way that it's used. Though I wish you could assign another key to disconnect the grapple, but that's another discussion)

If I switch off the buckler too fast, it doesnt show when I switch back until I press the fire button again :(

I'd also like to see a range slide bar similar to the hand grenade on the rocket pod. It would be more like an anti-air flak gun than the piece of crap that it is.

you want an anti-air weapon? get a chain someone with an active speedpack. THATS anti air.

i'm more this route, like, how can i focus on aiming, rather than holding a button down and aiming...

definitely great idea though, i've had lights JUST skip outta distance, the scurvy bastards...
