I cannot see multiplayer servers...
my join screen always has looked like this:

http://zab.clan-hakkenden.com/tv.jpg

when i click the Join tab it freezes the game and my system for ~20 sec

whenever i click refresh all, it does the same thing. i regain control but nothing ever shows up.

i can create a server of my own to play on - i do not know if anyone else can see these games... i have not tried to join a server via console because i do not know the command nor IPs to any servers.

this happened with the closed beta version from fp, i have uninstalled and reinstalled serveral times, even redownloaded it after it was open beta. i am not aware of any firewall or router in my way, but i am at a university so who knows.

if i missed a thread about this i apologize

Thanks

That happens to me alot... I usually shut off the modem, and put it back on. I reconnect and refresh, and it works.

seems like your school nazi bitchslapped you.

it would seem rather odd to have t:v blocked?

can someone give me a servers IP w/ port?

do you have windows xp sp2? tribes:v might be blocked by the firewall.

Hey Zab, I haven't had this problem, but i'm only behind a linksys router. I'm sure your problem is probably coming from the school blocking certain ports.

Here is some information that might be of some help ala the T:V readme:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
NETWORK TROUBLESHOOTING
------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have an internet connection (e.g. DSL, ADSL or Cable modem) and have installed a “personal firewall” on your computer such as Black Ice, Zone Alarm, Norton Internet Security, etc., you may experience problems joining one of the multiple games found on the Tribes servers.
To avoid problems with joining and hosting Tribes Vengeance multiplayer game sessions make sure that the ports below are open for UDP/TCP two-way traffic on your firewall. Some personal firewall applications do this setup automatically, depending on how your firewall is configured. Please refer to your firewall instruction manual for information on how to do this.

The following UDP ports need to be opened:
6500
7777
7778
27900

The following TCP ports need to be opened:
7777
7778
28910

----------------------------------------------------------------

I would go to the schools IT admin and give him these UDP and TCP ports and see if you can get something worked out. I've seen a few threads similar to this where people werent seeing servers at school. I think in some of the cases they were able to get the school to open some ports for them.

Good luck.
