can you at least make the speed pack increase its firing speed like it does every other weapon?

Definately. Never noticed it because like verybody else I never use the knife.

both passive and active. i spent a few minutes today testing on a hosted a sever, then again on an empty public server.

knife speed does not increase at all.

none of the weapons fire faster in passive

the chaingun does, at least after you activate it once it does.

are we playing the same game here? i just hosted a server, got a stopwatch, and EVERY WEAPON IN THE GAME fires faster in passive with speed pack, except of course for our piddly knife.

the documentation seems to indicate that the speed pack is only supposed to increase fire rate in active mode. i don't use it, so i don't know. maybe they changed the functionality at some point.

however the speed pack in active mode + knife thing should be noted as a bug. doesn't increase firing rate (i didn't see it, two of my teammates did).

that'd be hilarious if you could matrix-knife a player to death on the speed pack, i would buy the game on that alone. THERE is part of the missing fun.
