If you're a capper and you can't outrun the pod, you don't deserve the cap. And if you're attacking the enemy base and can't get in before the pod can acquire you and take you down, you suck at skiing and need to find better routes. The pod is not overpowered, it's slow, weak, and requires pretty precise aim to be effective. You can spam with it all day, sure, but unless you get a couple of direct hits, you're not taking anyone down with splash damage.

And on pubs it's even less of a problem, because half the pods get wasted by some noob trying to go O with the damn thing. It's a defensive asset, simply because it is too weak to survive on the enemy side of the map without taking heavy fire.

I'm not gonna argue any of your points here as I've already adressed many of them already. I must say, however, that your "you must suck" argument is kind of idiotic. You can't really compare what you know of my skill (nothing) to that of the "pod pilot" because the plilot's is not a constant.

Now that I think about it though, if the cheapness of the pod is dependent on your own skill, that thing must be a hell of a deterrent for newbies.

Acctually I've seen a pod move pretty effing fast. And.. its hardly weak.. But its certainly not overpowered either..

Um i'm really sorry , i did not know you were a god? Don't ever threaten me again, i really could careless if i play on your "Play my way or leave server" people like you ruin this game, because you tell everyone how you want them to play on your prescious servers , then your buddies act like jerks to everyone on the server. So who would really want to play there with people treating you like shazbot.

Trust me i'v already been on one of your servers and didn't like the smart mouth punks that were on it. too much tking on your server, as well. O-sniping is no problem , i can even handle turteling, it's no big deal. Being on a server run like a dictatorship, is the worst.

Thats called creative thinking...If you put it on the enemies side it gets killed off pretty soon. I carried a turret over there in heavy and help me get the flag back each time. Its a tool use it. Dont confine it to one area where the enemy knows its going to be, dur.

it's slightly creative, at first, but then you realize that people have been trying that shazbot forever.

It's a slight annoyance, and truthfully, a bad use of your teams resources. If you can kill a guy without the help of a tool then you free up that tool where someone else will need it more.

so when you either get killed or move on you just leave your turret there?

If I was playing against that shazbot I'd just leave the turret damaged enough so it doesn't shoot and your team has one less turret to use on D. I don't think it's efficient, those things are huge and a gren/disc disables it.

I'd only use it on short maps, that way I personally could kill it off. I'd take the responsiblity to get it back if it didnt die...Your right it does get disabled quickly...Plus there is 3 of them. If there was one or even 2 then I wouldnt do it. Like you said you dont need the turret to take the guy out. Its not used everytime and at every situation. My point is you can use what works to give you an edge at any givin moment. Dont confine your tactics to the same way everytime. BUT this is something that a team on TS does not in a pub. So I see peoples' grief there in a pub. A pub is nothing but organized, so you cant really complain.

I think people maybe forgetting that teams pay for their servers, so they can make any rules they want, if u dont like them u can play somewhere else. Just like people feel that since they paid for their game they can play how they want. In t2 LD would just stand around the flag and look for cappers and would cry "O SNIPE" if u disk/sniped them from like 300k away! I mean if ur standin still that long u deserve to be killed. I like playin against the best comp so i abide by whoevers rules. My only complaint is when the so called 1337 crew are allowed to o snipe on the sever while other lesser knows are immediately banned. This happens much too often in the tribes community.

Yeah there is a lot of dishonorable punks out there.
