Well i updated my BIOS yesterday on my other Computer, I used ASUS's flashing program to do the updating and the flashing and updating when just fine, and it said it was successful. So The next day when i went to turn on my computer, the screen was just blank. I'm quite the tech noob when it comes to problems like this, so my question is how do i get my comp working again? Or did i kill my motherboard?

I searched for this problem, but found no real solution

Has it ran fine any since the flash? Does it POST (Do you hear a beep shortly after you turn on the power)?

You might be out of luck.

The standard trick is to basically remove any components which you think might have died and see if the system boots when something is removed. Take out one thing at a time so you can isolate the problem.

You might also just want to bite the bullet and take it into a shop.

Or he could try to figure out the exact cause and save a lot fo time and effort.

Sorry, I'm going on the assumption that the answers to Shin's questions are "no".

In that case, he either flashed the wrong bios or something went wrong with the flash process. Then he either needs to get the chip reprogrammed (not really worth it) or get a new mobo.

well poo, to answer your question, there is no beep when i load up the comp, it's just a blank screen. Guess i'll go buy a new MB =/

No need to buy a new mobo if it's under warranty. Just RMA it. However, some motherboards allow you to hold down a special key combo, as it turns on, like Ctrl-home and the mobo will reflash the BIOS with whatever's in the floppy drive.

PS - Never flash a BIOS unless there is a fix that is specifically necessary.
