Question about the Beta DL

I dl'd the beta to my laptop, burned it onto a cd-r, try to copy that file onto my gaming puter and I'm getting a 'corrupt package' error.

My wife says my package isn't corrupt....no, wait..wrong forum....

Please dont tell me I'll have to wait another freakin hour to dl it again from my gaming puter...PLEASE don't tell me that.....

I've got the same problem. Although I didnt burn it I just ran the executable. I've tried just about everything (hell, I even tried running it in 98 Mode) and now have stooped to downloading it again from a mirror. BTW, Which server did you dl it from? thinking maybe FP has a fuxed up version on one of the servers or something and its not a widespread thing.

The laptop I downloaded the file to has winzip9

I just installed it on the gaming rig (it's a fresh xp install, hadn't done it yet) and still no go....

Does anyone know if I can load in beta4 and run the in-game updater? (I'm sure I cannot :( )

I've already got myself queued up for another d/l of it, but eff if this doesn't suck ass to have to wait through AGAIN.......

I tried opening it with Winzip too and got the same error. I used one of the West Coast servers (I just picked which had the lowest wait time) also. BTW, Use one of the mirrors posted on here earlier (look down the page or on page 2 for original post, credit whomever posted it) instead of waiting through FP's gayass lines.

oh...I tottally missed the post by GrimJack, I have the same problem. it never lets me get to a point where I can choose where to install it to.

Hooray, Re-downloaded it from one of the mirrors and it installed flawlessly. I would just like to send a big kudos out to FilePlanet for Not checking all their files before they put them up for download and wasted peoples time :boohoo:

I'll try these out if the file I'm waiting in line fore doesn't work. I was waiting in line then my window refreshed all wrong with the add stretching across everything! Now I have to wait another effing 10 mins!
