From what I recall they don't seem to push you in the direction you are looking. They seem to push you in the direction that they are directed to throw you. Is that correct or no? Because from what I can remember they are fairly limited in what direction you can go.

BTW does anyone else think that their velocity could be cranked up a little? LOL it would be cool if it would randomly boost you to the moon like Tribes 1's bounce pads did every so often :)

actually I think they could use more foward momentum for heavy players. the pads are really good for lights though.

They launch you in the direction you are going.

And you can bounce grenades and mortars off of them.

Seriously? That rules. I'm going to go try throwing stuff at it.

I have him on ignore but now I'm curious about what stupid crap he's said now.

Hmm, if you shoot the direct center of the pad it doesn't bounce at all and gets like sucked into the pad. Also the flag doesn't bounce. :(

direction you're moving, T1 and T2 base had no jump pads, I thought you hated mods.

We're all full up on stupid here at the moment, could you come back next week? We may have run off the surplus then.

That's awesome, although I would never have likely found it out on my own.

I thought we'd be able to deploy them... is this not gonna happen?

Is the amount of boost you get from them proportional to the current velocity of the object touching them?

The heavy doesnt get much of a boost. I wouldn't mind that being upped a bit. I will have to try bouncing stuff off of them though..that will be interesting although I am not sure how useful. :roller:

Not a bad idea. Tribeslympics. But the player would have to be behind the pads, and couldn't move forward(Unless he'd want to be catapulted)...

dropping the flag on a jump pad doesn't work, too bad hehe
