Ho seems unbalenced in that in raping a base is next to pointless with the heavy the way it is.

the T1 or T2 heavy could withstand more than 3 disks at any rate making the T:V Heavy feel like a barely beefed medium. Because 3 disks will kill or nearly kill you a single spawn armor is sually all it takes to destory you as the mortar isnt very good at kill spawns.

even if you do manage to enter the base and blow up the equipment there is a magic repair pack terminal that give your the magic repair pack.

at that point all it takes is the guy standing in the middle of the assets room and pressing Q once, in 3 seconds everythign is back online and pretty much defeats the purpose of HO as they cant survive in a base long enough.

Ho really needs an HP boost.

whats irks me is how easy it is to repair the entire base at once along with the difficulty of surviving even 1-2 spawns.


in competition can you really say that an HO wouldnt be better off as a capper with how easy repair is and how easy to kill HO are?

shield pack is damn hard to use with O.

you either want the speed the E pack gives you are the rate of fire bonus the speed pack gives you.

what the hell is up with the disk killing a heavy in 3 shots?

a spawn armor can really own your ass or at least pop half your health away.

I'd rather have the balance in favor of the Base slightly, than in favor of the HO's. It's pretty close right now, "just" right, imo.

Camping has always been the most annoying/easy thing to do in T1/T2 on many of the maps.

Made for horrible pubs and NOT fun.

In T:V, it seems to be more of a struggle for both sides to defend/attack gens/base. The HO don't own/camp the base, but the defense doesn't keep it up long either.

All in all, I like how it is. Favoring HO/Camping makes for frustrating gameplay.

Competition may end up being different, we wont' know that until competition (and the final release of T:V) begins.

I was actually thinking about this too and competition. If I was in a match I don't think I'd send any HO to rape base, seems like a waste of resources (considering you can get base back up in 10 secs). I'd instead send HO to clear flag.

with the current system raping base assets is pointless.

i think HO should have some value when it comes to raping instead of insta repair.

I think that 3 weapons slots are few for Heavies...4 are ok

I played HO competiivly in both T1 and T2 with doing well over 200 T2 TWL matches.

ive got some very quick routes on the maps available and i dont really get killed in the field much.

but when i come to the pheonix enterence of winterlake or even the BE base on Isle its pretty hard not to die or lose more than 80% of your health when 3 disks does the job.

from what you said it doesnt sound like you have even played the game.

im mean seriously protect the assets better when quite a few bases have a single enterence point or at best 2? get a clue.

its simply NOT worth it at present to consider using HO for compeition when its so god damn easy to repair a base and HO drop like flies.

i think A. heavy armor should have 200 hit points B. emergency repair stations should take time (30 seconds to a minute) in between repair pack drops
