No player shadows?

Is it just me or do players not have shadows? I tried each setting under the dynamic shadow option and couldn't get any to display. Makes it a little hard to track someone towards the ground... Or is there some other option I'm not seeing to enable them?

I too am not seeing any shadows created by players:

I'm running:

Pentium 4 2.53ghz
1GB corsair xms ddr
9700 Pro

Everything is turned on and at the ultra high setting

Including pixel shaders, also tried without the shaders on and still no shadows of any sort.

Is there something that needs to be tweaked in an .ini file?

TV shadows dont show while your up in the air (bah). Only when your about 3 feet off the ground and under.

Makes those long distance disk shots harder i think.

Its a known bug, (if u host a game yourself you will see player shadows, so its not your hardware etc)

Ah ok, so it's being looked into? That's one of the T1/2 holdovers that I don't think a lot of people could do without... Tracking someone w/ their shadow is crucial.

Shadows do, for some people help judge height above ground of your target.
