Fileplanet - Word of Warning.

I've just read that Fileplanet subscribers can download the T:V Beta.

I'm sorry but I had a very bad experiance with Fileplanet, and I find this kind of tactic to make people subscribe a bit of a concern.

I signed up and subscribed to them a over a year ago to be allowed an exclusive 'Fileplanet Only' beta test for Planetside. A week after paying for my subscription and playing the beta, the same beta became available FREE to the public via Fileplanet.
As you can imagine I was rather angry and cancelled my subscription.

Here's the email response I got from Filplanet when I found out the beta had gone public:

So why wasn't this fact mentioned on the site?
If I had known the Beta was going to be available FREE in a few days I would never have subscribed. I feel I've been fooled into subscribing and I'm really annoyed about the whole matter.

Yeah, and? One week from today the Tribes: Vengeance beta will become available to the public for free. The FP download is a one week exclusive early offer. This has been announced again and again on this site. You'd know this if you actually bothered to read through the threads, which is probably what got you into trouble with the Planetside exclusive ;)

Yeah one week and it's free T:V. I don't care though $16 for 3 months should be worth it, if not so be it.

I generally can't stand fileplanet either and it's the exact same situation now, but it's not like their hiding it. It's very clear what you get for your subscription: the beta a week before others.

At that point each person must just decide wether or not it's worth it to them.

yes it is very clear you just need to decide if you want to support this idea of paying for a beta or not and if you do decide to do so then your A DIRTY WHORE.
