So my v chat doesnt work...

How do i get my v chat to work?
Before i even started i bound the fast favs/quick chat key to v. Maybe i should have left that to shift. When i bound that back to shift hitting the v button did nothing. any suggestions?

You have to hold the button down, so shift is better in this case.

I think you messed it up when you changed it to V, they are 2 seperate binds I believe and you erased the other one when you changed it.

They were supposed to. I haven't seen anything like that yet, though.

First let me check if the implemented it, we had it in the other 05 but it may have been removed. Be back in a sec.

Far as I can tell there's only 1 bind.

The fix they talked about would make it so that if you had it on a button like shift or ctrl you'd have to hold it. But if you put it on anything else it would functino more like the T1/T2 where it was more of a toggle. Doesn't seem to be implemented yet however.

Just rebind the quickchat/loadout bind to shift for now. It actually works well once you get used to it.

they did cuz my friends on TS were hitting the v key and didnt bind anything to it.

I rebound it to V hoping it would be fixed like they said but I still had to hold it down.

Ok, they did implement it, I would think resetting controls to defaults would fix it, but I'll see if I can find it. You don't need to rebind anything, it is on V AND Shift by default. Shift is the newer system, and V is the old style.

should i try that first?

My controls got all screwy when I installed the new version so I just renamed User.ini and let it create a brand new one. I'll see what I can do I guess.

Well, when you installed the new version you should have deleted the old directory. But yeah Starwind, try that right now if you want, I will see if I can find it.

V=ToggleQuickChat, I think that's it.

That did it. Not sure why binding it through the game isn't working correctly though.

I reset to default and V still brings up the menu you have to hold down.

It's a seperate command. The shift one is bQuickchat or something like that.
