when I first installed the game ran beautifully. After a few hours I started experiencing server lag spikes (on numerous servers) and dropping after each map (but those bugs already have their own thread. My problem is this:

eventually my guns are not even drawn anymore and shortly after the game will freeze. So i decided to restart the computer. Now when i double-click the T:V beta shortcut the screen turns black and freezes and I have to cut the power in order to restart.

Specs:
P4 3.2 Ghz
2 GB ram
ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256 MB RAM

not sure what else to include in specs.

Card getting hot/overheating?

Trying turning your computer off for 30min. Try again. If it works fine for another few hours, maybe you're having some overheating issues.

I had the same probelm with the screen going black. I disabled Zone Alarm and it worked fine.

when the screen goes black, can you alt-tab out and see if an error has popped up in the background

Not on my comp. You couldn't even ctrl-alt-del. It comes right as the vivendi screen should appear.

turned comp off for the night. This morning same issue so it's not overheating. I've had this problem before in the past with splinter cell 2 (ut engine?) and ut2k4 but they all seemed to have resolved themselves...now T:V is experiencing it.

when my screen goes black i seriously cannot do anything else. I can see my mouse every now and then if I move it as if it's coming out behind from something but alt+tabbing and ctrl+alt+del do not work.

Solution found. I have Zone Alarm too. I disabled it and it worked fine.
