Inventory lock-up problem..

Is anyone else locking up for a good 5 seconds when they go INTO their inventory screen (not just on the invo/getting invo)? Everytime I go into the inventory screen (normally by accident), I lock up for at least 4/5 seconds. Very annoying at times when I spawn at the rover and I'm trying to rush back to the stand and save a cap/stop a capper.

My specs:

*Edit* Is there a particular option to speed up the loading process, or cache setting I can change to help that out?

Consider yourself lucky.

Many people (including me) are getting system locks (as in requiring a reboot) when they used invs. I was getting this every 5 mins, but windowed mode and being very carefuly not to move in invs seems to help prevent it somehow.

I do get the 3-5 second locks you describe, but they're small beans compared to the full system lock.

open ur default.ini in ur T:V dir and look for something cachesize=32 under [Engine.GameEngine] (turn off read only on the file). Change it to 512.

P.S. Thanks Limbo.

Limbo's workaround fixed my hardlock problem. though i didn't put it so high.. i thought if 32 was the default, 256 was more than enough.
i changed it in tribesv_mpbeta_en.ini, since i had already made other changes to it.
i'm gonna guess that if default.ini is changed tribesv_mpbeta_en.ini should be deleted so it can be regenerated.

i experienced the system lock a few times the first hours i tried the game...
then i saw someone on this forum guessing that it might be triggered if one presses the use key twice (or more) when entering the inventory...

so first of all i tries to use only the quick-access at the inventory...and if i do have to enter it and change loadouts, i am very careful not to press more then once on the use key....and since then, i havent had one single lockup....could just be coincidence but maybe not.

I get a HARD FREEZE, forcing me to reboot my whole computer (alt-tab/ctrl-alt-del are unresponsive)

akula, so did i, its what i mean with "system lock"....make sure you only press the use key once when entering an inventory...also make sure you do not press/hold down any other key while pressing the use key...it might help...

This is a known bug.... To counter it either:
a. stand wholly on the pad
b don't use the loadout menu... set up your quick faves loadout in your profile
