Seems more like a f***in Alpha to me damn. Just started playing the game and Ive froze in midair and gotten stuck so many times tonite that I cant even cant them all. I thought it was something with my computer but everyone in the damn server was complaining about the same thing and just getting beyond the point of frustration. Other problems are either with the netcode or jus A MONSTER BUG. Whenever I shoot discs or other weapons I cant even see them leave the gun until seconds later...One other major problem is the game totally froze 3 times already and I couldnt get back to windows but I had to totally shut down the computer and restart. I still cant believe that with all the inside beta testing and the delayed 05 patch bc of some major bug and still we have huge ass bugs such as the ones Ive described above which prevent people from even playing the goddam game. I think that there is going to have to be another patch like asap to fix these major bugs or people are going to start flaming the forums because this seriously prevented me from even testing the game and having any sort of enjoyment from it bc I was gettin stuck half the time...

Sounds like server lag. Try a different server

It's a server issue. Find one that has speedhack checking turned off.

Host a game and see how solid it is then get off the listen servers running on 128kb dsl lines. :).

j/k

I got on a couple of servers that just seemed crappy. I was on impulse for a couple of maps and it was pretty damn good (Sub 100 ping with no lag/packet loss.)

It isn't a beta, it's a demo. Don't expect this version to ever get updated.

One thing I must say is the graphics are AMAZING. Looks better than Doom 3 in my opinon. So you guys are saying this is a server issue? Because the people in the server were claiming it was a bug. So what do I need to do to not encounter this problem anymore?

i believe that this can be solved by jumping off a cliff......aka a server issue

Try also adjusting your connection settings, some people found they lagged less by setting it to ISDN.

Honestly, 04 was more stable/fun than OB, imo. Kinda disappointed in OB. :(

Patch before PUBLIC?

Yea ive been hearing the same thing that 04 was better....Cant believe the devs waited this long to release OB and they release something with more bugs then what was already out for weeks already....sad

Did you try that?

We did that on Hell and it seemed to clear up the problem.

CkB did as well on theirs and it cleaned everything up beautifully. 21 (or was it 24?) people, not one dead stop. Still a few "ground" stucks, but those are fixed easily enough by either jetting or flashing the F1 or F2 screens

It's a beta. Go read the dev comments on this.Link me because I'm not bothering to search for some comment you imagined. They're calling it "beta" and labelling the thing ingame as a "demo" instead:
http://upload.serverseed.com/pictars4/05.JPG
They are not going to be accepting any gameplay or feature related requests at this point (too late) and any past claims of working with the community to include the missing features previously provided by clientside scripting will just have to be dealt with in the full retail version, after a patch or two.

Now that I see what they are using for a "demo" I can wait until the first T:V patch and the release of SS:2845 before purchasing the game. The game as I see it now is crap.
