[Bug] A Few *More* bugs

I made a list of some more bugs I found...
(Updated for latest beta version.)

1. Launching Vehicles
Problem: If you get good at this, you can launch a rover from one side of the Isle to the other. What happens is you use the turret barrel to make the rover fly really high in the air. Whenever you enter a turret, the barrel will be facing in the direction you were looking at right before you entered, It moves the barrel from where it was before you entered the turret to where you are looking at when you enter (this all happens at a really fast speed, you wont notice it). And if the rover is in this path the barrel moves... when the barrel does touch the rover it will launch it really high in the air. Some examples: Movie 1 (ftp://tribes:betatest@ftp.noski ll.org/rover_launch.wmv), Movie 2 (ftp://tribes:betatest@ftp.noski ll.org/rover_launch2.wmv), and Movie 3 (ftp://tribes:betatest@ftp.noski ll.org/rover_launch3.wmv). It's easier to do this with the pod.
Caused by: Enter a turret and make the barrel face downwards, then get out of the turret. Bring a pod near the turret so it touches the turret's barrel. Now go near the turret and look at where you want the barrel to move to (from it's current position), then enter the turret and the pod should go flying. (It takes a few tries before you can launch it effectively.)


2. [Bug] Pack jet effects last for a whole map

Problem: Whenever you activate a pack, for 1 or 2 seconds, there's a jet to show that the pack has been used, If you switch packs during the time the jets are showing, they will last for the rest of the map. See this (ftp://tribes:betatest@ftp.noski ll.org/packs.wmv) movie. You can also do this by standing on an inventory and just buying different loadouts.
Caused by: Get any kind of pack then stand near one that is on the ground... Press your use pack key and immediatly swap packs for the one on the ground.
Here is a short video showing what it looks like with all 4 packs.


3. [Bug] Windows cursor appearing in windowed mode
Problem: If you are in windowed mode, most of the time you wont see the windows cursor there's only 1 time i found out that it does show it. When it does, if you click somewhere not in the game screen, it will tab out of the game and go to the application you clicked on. To get rid of the cursor you can just hit escape while in game and press Resume. This can also happen if you minimize the game by alt tabbing out (while you aren't in the escape menu), then right clicking on the T:V in the task bar, then pressing "N" to minimize the game, then click it again to restore the window, and you should see the windows cursor in the game.
Caused by: While you are in windowed mode... Before the map ends, tab out of the game to a different application. Wait until the map has fully loaded and you see the spawn screen, now click inside the game's window, and you should see the windows cursor there.


4. [Bug] Sorting servers in the server list
Problem: In the server list you can sort servers by different columns, they all work most of the time, but after clicking on a column then clicking on a different column, and clicking back on the 1st column, the server list is not sorted correctly, it will just show the last sort reversed.
Caused by: Go to the server list, click on the "#" column to sort by players, now click on the Server Name column, then click back on the "#" column and it should be sorted by reverse Server Name instead of by players.


5. [Bug] Firing chaingun in 3rd person
Problem: If you are in 3rd person and you fire the chaingun while looking downwards, the projectiles do not look like they are coming out of your gun or even near your body. I tried getting a screenshot of this but it happens very fast and each time i tried it wouldn't catch it. This also happens with the blaster if you look at the right angle.
Caused by: Get a chaingun and go to 3rd person now look downwards, and hold down the fire button... you might need to move the mouse a bit until it happens.


6. [Bug] Hud keys
Problem: On the hud near each weapon is the key you need to press to get to that weapon... I tried finding out what determines which key appears there (if it's the primary or secondary) but it wasn't determined by that. Then I thought it was sorted by ascii value but after further testing it's more similar to something like this...

Shift keys (Ctrl, Alt, CapsLock, etc.)
Numbers (sorted 0-9)
Letters (sorted alphabetically)
Function keys (sorted F1-F12)
Symbols (sorted by ascii values?)

Examples:
If you bind your 1st weapon slot to both "Ctrl" and "A" the key that will appear in the hud will be "Ctrl"...
Binding "A" and "B" will show you "A" in the hud
"1" and ";" will show 1 in the hud
(Note: It doesn't matter which one you bind to Primary and which to Secondary.)

Unless there is a specific reason for this, I think a more logical approach would be to show what is assigned as the primary key, and if there is no primary key, show the secondary one. This is also what determines which keys appear in messages like "Press your [use key] to enter the inventory station."
Caused by: Before you are ingame, change your controls of a weapon to have "B" as the primary and "Ctrl" as the secondary keybind. Ingame, even though your primary key is "B", you should see "Ctrl" in your hud because it comes before "B" in the sort above.


7. [Bug] Hud keys don't update
Problem: The keys that appear near each weapon don't get updated until you press escape, or a new map loads.
Caused by: While ingame go to the options screen and change one of your weapon keybinds to something different, then go back to the game and you should see your old key bind still there. Press escape and it should show you the new one.


8. [Bug] Switching weapons after firing the grappler
Problem: When ever you fire a weapon, there is a specific amount of time you have to wait until you can fire again.. for all weapons, except the grappler, the only thing that time controls is when you can fire the next projectile. However when you use the grappler if the weapon hasn't fully recharged, you wont be able to switch weapons.
Caused by: Get a grappler and try to switch weapons right after you fire... you wont be able to until the weapon fully recharges. Try this with a disc launcher and it will let you.


9. [Bug] Controlling the rover turret while on a steep hill
Problem: Usually when you use the rover turret, and look straight up, once you reach 90 degrees it will stop moving up. If you are on a steep hill and then try to control the turret, it will loop back to the other side. (You should notice the screen jump. I think this is caused because the barrel flips over.)
Caused by: Get a rover and park it on a steep hill, switch to the gunner seat and look straight up. If you continue moving your mouse up, you should loop back to the other side.


10. [Bug] Tabbing out while map is loading in windowed mode
Problem: While in windowed mode, if you try to tab out of the game while the map is loading.. it will go to the program you selected, but you wont be able to move your mouse out of the T:V screen area. After a few seconds the T:V window will pop back up and then if you try doing it again, you should be able to use your mouse normally.
Caused by: In windowed mode, wait for the end of map screen to appear and press escape (this causes you to go back in game and you can't see the cursor any more), when the next map begins to load, press alt tab to get out of the window, now try moving your mouse around the whole screen... you wont be able to because the mouse wont move out of the T:V window area.


11. [Bug] Switching to a deployable while in a vehicle
Problem: If you try to press the deployable key while in a vehicle, then once you get out of the vehilce, your deployable wont be on your back... it will be sticking out of your right side.
Caused by: Get a deployable, then enter a vehicle, hit your deployable key, get out of the vehicle.


12. [Bug] Exiting the spawn screen key
Problem: If you bind your spawn key to something other than "B", you wont be able to exit the spawn screen using that key. The message will show the new key you need to press to exit the screen, but pressing that key doesn't do anything.
Caused by: Bind spawn to a key other than "B", while ingame press the spawn key and try to get out of the spawn screen using that key.


13. [Bug] Turret barrels not appearing ([B]FIXED in latest beta)
Problem: When a new map loads up, if you go to a turret you wont see the barrel (which is the only difference between different types of turrets). If you enter the turret then get out of turret, then the barrel will appear there.
Caused by: Before anyone enters a turret, look at the turret (It shouldn't have a barrel) then get in and then out of the turret and look again (the barrel should be there now).


14. [Bug] Weapons disappearing
Problem: If you stand over a weapon that you don't have in your loadout, you will see the swap message. But if you stand on the weapon until it disappears and then press your use key, the current weapon you have out will be thrown away and you wont pick up any weapon (you will only have 2 weapons in your loadout). After this happens you can't press [Next Weapon] to switch weapons, you have to press a number from 1-3 and then it will work. Also if you didn't switch weapons, you have no weapon in your hand and after you walk over the dropped weapon it still wont be active.
Caused by: Stand on a weapon that you can swap your current weapon for... wait until the weapon on the ground disappears and press your [use key] (if you wait more than a few seconds, it wont work.) Also you don't have to be standing at the spot where the weapon disappeared to make this work.


15. [Bug] Packs Disappearing
Problem: If you do the same thing as above with a pack (stand over until the pack disappears and press your [use key]) then you will drop your current pack and pickup an invisible pack (the pack that just disappeared), you can't use this invisible pack but you can see it both in 3rd person and in your hud. If you swap this pack for a different one, this pack will disappear instead of dropping to the ground.
Caused by: Stand on a pack that you can swap your current pack for... wait until the pack on the ground disappears, and press your [use key] (if you wait more than a few seconds, it wont work.) Also you don't have to be standing at the spot where the pack disappeared to make this work.


16. [Bug] Placing deployables
Problem: Whenever you have a deployable selected and you look down on the ground, your reticle will change to an X when you can't deploy or the X wont appear there if you can deploy. If you hold down the mouse button and don't let go, the X doesn't update... so if you hold down the mouse when you see the X then move to somewhere that you can deploy, it will still show an X but when you release it the turret will deploy.
Caused by: Get a deployable and select it by pressing your deployable key. Look around to a place you can't deploy the turret, and press and hold down your fire button. Now move the mouse to a place you can deploy and let go. The deployable should be placed even though there was an X on your screen.


17. [Bug] Pod going through fences on Cavern
Problem: on Cavern each base has a few fences guarding the invs, if you use the pod you can go through these fences.
Caused by: Get a pod and fly through the fences on cavern.


18. [Bug] Picking up deployables as heavy
Problem: If you are in heavy armor and you pick up a deployable from the station or from the ground, it wont appear on your back when you switch to 3rd person. The only time it does appear is if you grab the pack in medium, see it on your back in 3rd person, then buy heavy armor at an inv.
Caused by: Get heavy armor pickup a deployable and go to 3rd person.


19. [Bug] Grappling through the flag stand
Problem: If you grapple through the flag stand, even when the flag isn't home, your grappler will disconnect. however if you aim a bit downwards, it will let you grapple through the stand.
Caused by: Go to a flag stand that doesn't have the flag on it, shoot your grappler where the flag would be. The grappler should disconnect once it hits the place the flag would be. Now aim a bit downwards and try the same thing, and it should go through the stand.


20. [Bug] Jet pack trails staying for the entire map
Problem: If you hold down your jet pack key and then enter the rover turret, your jets will appear to be used even when you get out of the vehicle. If you respawn while your jets are like this, they will stay where you died for the rest of the map.
Caused by: Hold down your jet key and press your use key to enter the rover turret, release your jet pack key. Get out of the rover and you should see your jet trails (even though you released your jet key.) Now respawn and go back to where you died, the jet trails should still be there.


21. [Bug] Using the Buckler then entering a rover
Problem: If you use the buckler then enter the rover's driver seat, you will see a big X as your reticle.
Caused by: Get a buckler and go near a rover. Fire your buckler and before it returns to you, get into the driver seat of the rover. Your reticle should change to an X.


22. [Bug] Using the Rocket Pod then entering a vehicle or turret
Problem: This is easier to see if you enter a turret, because you stay near where the rockets are launched from. If you do this correctly, you will continue firing rockets while also being in a vehicle or a turret. The rockets you fire will only go straight ahead and you can't control them. (Note: This also works if you enter an inventory station.)
Caused by: Get a rocket pod and stand near a turret. Right after you fire, enter the turret. (You must enter the turret before the 6th rocket is fired.) You should see lots of rockets being fired from where you stood.


23. [Bug] Switching seats in a bomber
Problem: If you hold down jets while piloting a bomber and then switch seats, the jets will still be activated even though there is no pilot.
Caused by: Get into the bomber's pilot seat and press and hold down your jet button, now switch seats and release the jet button. You should still see the bomber jets activated.


24. [Bug] Entering vehicles while holding down your fire button behaves differently with the grappler
Problem: I included this because when you use the grappler it doesn't behave the same way as other weapons do. Normally when you hold down your fire button then enter a turret/vehicle and release your fire button while in the turret/vehicle, when you get out, your current weapon will fire. When this bug is fixed, it might have a different effect on the grappler, so I included these examples just incase...

Using the grappler: (Note: After firing you must have the mouse button still held down UNTIL you are in the turret/vehicle)
These DO cause the weapon to fire on exit:
- If you fired the grappler into the air and it never hooked on to anything.
- If you fired the grappler and it hooked on to something. (You should be reeling in while entering the turret/vehicle.)
These DO NOT cause the weapon to fire on exit:
- If you fired the grappler into the air and it is on its way to connect to something (you can still see the rope).
- If you fired the grappler and hooked on to something, but then the grappler got disconnected (by making an object brake the line).


25. [Bug] Pressing your energy blade key while in a turret
Problem: If you are in a turret and press your energy blade key ("Switch to Fallback Weapon" key), you will hear the sound of the energy blade coming out.
Caused by: Get inside a turret then press your use energy blade key.


26. [Bug] Switching weapons when holding an empty weapon
Problem: If you are holding an empty weapon and switch to a different one, for a split second you will see that your reticle is a large X.
Caused by: Hold an empty weapon, then look at your reticle and switch weapons. (You should see the large X flash for a split second.)


27. [Bug] Holding a deployable or flag with an empty weapon
Problem: If you are holding an empty weapon then swith to a deployable or flag, your reticle will have a large X in the middle until you switch weapons.
Caused by: Get a deployable or a flag and then select an empty weapon, now switch to your deployable or flag and you should see a large X in the middle of the screen.


28. [Bug] Deployed turrets recharging
Problem: Before a turret begins to fire, you can hear the turret charging up (it is the same sound you hear when you use the shield pack.) If you deploy a turret at the enemy base, once it destroys something you will hear this sound over and over being played while the turret isn't shooting at all. My guess is that the turret wants to still shoot the target it destroyed but the target is already dead so the turret just keeps on recharging.
Caused by: Get a deployable turret and place it at the enemy base, after it destroys 1 or 2 objects, you should hear it recharging and not firing at all.


29. [Bug] Shield pack and Speed pack sounds
Problem: Whenever you activate the shield pack and the speed pack, you should hear a sound playing while they are activated. If you go into an inv station and buy a new pack while they are activated, that sound will continue playing (even though your pack isn't activated) until you activate that same pack again. Another interseting thing I found was, the only pack you can't activate while standing on an inventory is the speed pack. (I'm not sure if that is purposely like that to prevent rapid weapon fire or if it's a bug)
Caused by: Get a shield pack and while on an inv activate it, once it's activated, buy a new loadout. You should hear the pack sound follow you wherever you go.


30. [Bug] Weapons deselcting at invs
Problem: Whenever you buy a loadout at an inv, your weapon is deselected for a split second,. If you buy another loadout while the weapon is deselected you wont have any weapons selected and if you try switching weapons with the "Next Weapon" keybind, you wont be able to.
Caused by: Go to an inventory station and buy a loadout, immediatly after buying that loadout buy it again. (You must use the shift menu to select it again. Also it might take a few tries until you are able to do it. Try using both hands.)


31. [Bug] Flag attached to vehicles
Problem: If you throw the flag on a spawning vehicle, then the vehicle moves the flag upwards, then if you go inside the vehicle and drive it, the flag will follow the vehicle. Anyone can grab the flag while it's on the vehicle and that will stop if from following the vehicle. You can't do this to a vehicle that isn't spawning because any time you throw the flag on it, it will just go through the vehicle.
Caused by: Blow up a pod so it respawns. Get the enemy flag then stand next to where the pod spawns. As it's coming out, throw the flag on top of it. Get inside the pod and start flying. (The flag should follow the vehicle.)


32. [Bug] Holding down ski while exiting the pod
Problem: If you hold down ski and exit the pod while still holding it down, the sound that plays when you hold down ski will keep on playing. Also the 2 jet trails will appear there, but the pod falls down normally. (It's as if the ski button isn't held down.) The wings are not visible when you get out. (Note: This also works for the bomber.)
Caused by: Go into a pod hold down your ski button and get out of the pod.


33. [Bug] Pressing Escape right before the end of map screen appears
Problem: If you press escape after the "Match has ended" message, then you wont see the end of map screen. (It's as if you pressed escape while the screen appeared.)
Caused by: Press escape right when the map ends, but before the end of map screen appears.


34. [Bug] Spawning with the spawn array
Problem: If you use the spawn array to teleport yourself anywhere, your feet will be underground. If you try walking around, you will still be underground. However, you can use your jets to get them out. It even spawned me underground (ftp://tribes:betatest@ftp.noski ll.org/spawn.wmv) once on Cavern. This happened to me each time I tried, but I will test this more just to make sure when it happens. (Edit: After further testing, I beleive this only happens on certain types of buildings. It should happen all the time on Cavern, but on Isle it only happened when I spawned at the 1st base. I beleive the reason this happens is becuase when I spawned at the 2nd base in Isle, I spawned a bit in the air so I fell down to the building right after spawning.)
Caused by: On Cavern, use the spawn array and teleport, then go to 3rd person and look at your feet.


35. [Map - Cavern] Hole in the terrain on Phoenix side
Problem: There is a hole in the terain near the Phoenix's 2nd base. It's big enough to fire projectiles through it but not big enough for a player to fit in.
To find it: Go to Phoenix's 2nd base (the one without the gens.) then exit the base using the exit thats facing South. Right after you exit, go to the left all the way until you touch the terrain wall. If you look at the ground where the terrain touches the base in the far East corner, you will see the hole.


36. [Bug] Spawning near a deployable
Problem: During the countdown for when the match starts, if you spawn near a deployable and press [use key] then you can pick up the deployable. You can also press [deployable key] to select the item. You can't deploy the item. This happened to me on Winterlake on the Imperial side.
Caused by: On winterlake, if you are lucky, when the match starts if you are spawned near a deployable station press [use key]. That will pickup the deployable.


37. [Bug] Quick favorites message
Problem: If you stand on your own inventory station, you should see 2 messages, one of them being "Press [key] to access quick favorites." If you stand on an enemy inventory station you will see the same message. However, pressing this key does not let you use the inventory station. You will also see this message if your generator is down and you stand on your own inv.
Caused by: Go to an enemy inventory station and stand on it, or stand on your own inventory station while your power is down.


38. [Bug] Deployable message
Problem: If you are carrying a deployable and go near another deployable station you will see a message similar to "You are already carrying a deployable." If you go near an enemy deployable station, you will see the same message.
Caused by: Get a deployable then go to the enemy base, stand near a deployable station and you should see this message.


39. [Bug] Repair pack message
Problem: Same as above but you must carry a repair pack and go to the enemy emergency station.
Caused by: Get a repair pack and go to the enemy base, stand near the emergency station and you should see a message like "You already have a repair pack."


40. [Bug] Flag not appearing on your back
Problem: Sometimes the flag will not appear on your back when you have it. It might be over your head at a weird angle or off the the side. It's still as if it is on your back though (cause it still follows you). If you press your flag key then switch to a weapon, it still wont appear on your back. Even if you toss it in the field and then pick it up, it wont return to normal. The only way for it to go back to normal is if the flag is returned to the base. This happens if you toss the flag onto a base object (Generator, Inv, Deployable Stations, Turrets, Spawn Array, etc.) The next time you pick up the flag, it will be at the same angle it was when it landed on the base object.
Caused by: Get the flag and go to a spawn array, toss the flag on top of the spawn array then grab it. Go into 3rd person to see where the flag is. You can repeat this process to make the flag appear in different places.


41. [Bug] Moving after the map is over
Problem: After the map is over, if you are standing near an object you can get into by pressing [use key], you will be able to use the object as you would normally. This works for Invs, Turrets, Vehicles, etc.
Caused by: Before a map ends, stand near an object you can enter. At the end of map screen press escape, then press [use key] to enter the object.


42. [Bug] Deployables and jump pads
Problem: If you are holding a deployable and you look at a jump pad, the jump pad will start jumping even though there is nothing on it.
Caused by: Get deployable and press [deployable key]. Go to a jump pad and look at the jump pad's perimiter (For this to work you can not see the X in the center of your screen.)


43. [Bug] Jump pads and objects
Problem: If any object lands on a jump pad, the jump pad is going to jump even if the object can't jump (Weapons, Grenades, deployables, etc.) Another thing I noticed is if you try to use the jump pad right after it launched something, you will not be launched and will be under that part that launches you. If this happens and you are standing right on top of it and you try to jet up and back down, you will still not be able to jump. The animation of the jump will be played but you just stand there. I made this (ftp://tribes:betatest@ftp.noski ll.org/jump_pad.wmv) movie to show you how to do this. (In the movie I first throw a weapon onto the pad, then step onto it right after that.)
Caused by: Stand near a jump pad and throw a weapon on to it (The jump pad should play the animation even though the weapon doesn't move.) If you stand on top of the jump pad right after the animation plays, you will be standing on the jump pad and it wont launch you.


44. [Bug] Grappling on to Forcefields
Problem: If you grapple on to a forcefield and the gens powering it go down, you be grappled to an invisible object.
Caused by: Grapple on to an enemy forcefield and while still grappled destroy the enemy generator. You should still be grappled on to the invisible forcefield.


45. [Bug] Respawn screen at the end of a map
Problem: You can access the respawn screen when the map is over. If you select a place to spawn, you will die but you wont respawn.
Caused by: When the map ends, press escape to get out of the end of map screen. Then press [Respawn key].


46. [Bug] Starting the game in windowed mode after a crash
Problem: I haven't had many crashes in the game, but one of the times I did get a crash, was while I was in windowed mode. The next time I tried to load the game I couldn't see the T:V window, so I right clicked on T:V in the task bar and selected Maximize, that worked. Then while ingame I pressed alt+enter and still couldn't see the screen... What happened was that the T:V window was in windowed mode, but was moved off the screen on the lower right (I couldn't see it all). After selecting move from the right click menu on the T:V icon in the task bar I was able to move it.

This would be really hard to reproduce because I'm not sure how the crash was caused, however I think this might be a bug that needs to be fixed. My guess is that when the game starts in windowed mode, it doesn't check if it's off the screen or not. If this is true I think there should be a way for the game to check if it's off the screen or not and then move it to a viewable area if it is.


47. [Bug] Repair pack repairing through objects
Problem: The repair pack wont let you repair through most walls and forcefields, but there are some objects that you can repair through. See this (ftp://tribes:betatest@ftp.noski ll.org/repair.wmv) movie. In the movie you first see me repairing the generator through some objects and then I was able to repair the deployable inventroy stations even though there was a forcefield there. The reason I was able to do this is because it's going through the wall and not the forcefield.
Caused by: Get a repair pack. On the Phoenix side of Winterlake, damage your deployable inventory stations, then stand on the opposite side of your forcefield. Activate your repair pack while standing near the forcefield (you may need to move back and forth until it starts to repair the deployable stations.)


48. [Bug] Deployables inside forcefields
Problem: Normally you can't deploy things inside forcefields, but if you deploy them while the generator is down it will let you.
Caused by: While the generator is down, deploy something where the forcefield is going to appear. Repair the generator and the item should be inside the forcefield.


49. [Bug] Join [team name] button
Problem: All the buttons in the Players tab work fine, the only one with problems is the JOIN [Team Name] button. If you put your mouse over it, the edges will start to blink. If you press and hold down on it, the whole button will start blinking. If you do this and you release your mouse button over the join button while the it isn't highlighted, it wont let you join the other team.
Caused by: While in game, press escape to get to the players tab, place your mouse over the join button (it's edges should start blinking.) Press and hold the button and the whole button should start blinking.


50. [Bug] Vehicles and respawn screen
Problem: If you jet normally while not in a vehicle and press [Respawn key] you will stop jetting. If you try this with a vehicle, you will continue jetting and moving (if you held down forward.) Once you get out of the spawn screen, the vehicle will stop moving and if you use the jets again you wont see them anymore.
Caused by: get in a vehicle and hold down forward and jet. With both of the keys held down, press [respawn key]. You should be hearing and seeing the vehicle still moving.


51. [Bug] Rover jets disappearing
Problem: If you use the Rover's jets for more than 10 seconds, they will disappear. It is still active, but you can't see them visually. Letting go of the jet key and holding it down again will let you see the jets.
Caused by: Go inside a rover and hold down jets, after about 10 seconds they should disappear.


52. [Bug?] Respawn screen not disappearing
Problem: I'm not sure if this is a bug or not... When you press [respawn key] and select a place to spawn, the respawn screen will disappear. But if you click your fire button when you see the message "Press Fire to see respawn map", and you select a place to spawn before the 1.9 seconds are over, the spawn screen will still stay up until you respawn. The reason I think the first way is better, is because that way you know that the key you pressed really registered, and you will spawn at the location you selected.


53. [Bug] F2-F5 hardcoded
Problem: If you rebind My Stats, Game Stats, or Weapon Stats to different keys, you can't exit the menu using the same key you binded.
Caused by: Rebind My Stats to a new key then press that key to go to the stats screen, and try pressing it again to leave the stats screen. (If you press F2 now it should exit it.)


54. [Bug] Selecting items in List views
Problem: If you go to any list view and try to select a row by clicking right under a column separator, it wont select the row you clicked on.
Caused by: Go to the server list and put your mouse over the Server Name and Details spliter. Move your mouse straight down onto the server list and try selecting a row with your mouse still aligned. (It wont select the server.)

It's been updated for the latest beta...
1 bug has been fixed (marked above), and 1 is harder to reproduce.

Edit: I was just able to reproduce the bug, I updated the info on top
