[Map Feedback] Cavern Generator needs more cover

It is far to easy for a competent HO to lob two mortars in there before the defense can take him down. Even spamming from great distances is quite easy, and will only get easier once people learn spamming points.

I think it should at least be necessary for the attacker to land in the base in order to take them down. All it really needs is a small obstruction in the upper entrance to take away the angle allowing a direct hit from outside of the base.

what would be cool is if they had doors that open when you get close.
Thing like that would be perfect for multiplayer maps.
I know they have them for single player. This would prevent spam.

how many people will be helping a spammer spam? teamwork is scarce anyway, and the people good enough to work as a team wont be spamming.

If a team has enough coordination to pull that off then they deserve to be able to kill it that way.

Yeah if a team does that, good on them. What would be more the situation (esp in a pub) is a team member goes in there to blow it gets nailed by a spammer at distance. Which would be kinda funny in a to much team work kinda sense :)

What i mean is just have MOs/LOs buzz around the top doors... chances are it will be common practice. Rapers would also stand near the door to help out spammers. Its not teamwork but more like friendly impulse.

If a team wants to do that than its fine. At least they are coodinating to take it down, haha.

1 person taking down the generator in two shots, on a map that is impossible to win via cluster = shit

2-3 people being forced to coordinate to take down the generator = balanced

perhaps they could be team only doors that have to be destroyed in order for the enemy to get in. it makes sense because if this were real, you wouldent have just anyone getting to your power core, now would you?

A good idea, but I don't like the "it should be this way b/c it's more realistic" argument.

I agree, the cavern generator really needs a better shield. Maybe even add one of those shields on that top entrance.

It is possible in Mplayer, Unreal2XMP had them EVERYWHERE, they even had keycard doors where the other team had to wait 30seconds to open thro hacking. They also had massive ones that would open for anyone in the hangers, etc.

The fact that bases get obliterated is nothing new. Get over it and setup a better perimeter. Don't forget, your guys are doing likewise on the other side. Next issue please.
