Router - 10/100 ports will not connect at 100 Megabit?

I have a DI713p wireless router. It has 3 wired 10/100 ports on it.

My configuration is :

Modem->WAN port on router
5 port linksys 10/100 switch uplink->port 3 on 713p
2 PC's to two ports on the switch.

Tonight I was gaming and I suddenly lost my connection and I noticed that on the router, the link light was flashing very rapidly while the speed light remained solid. I also noticed that the Ethernet light on my modem(westell 2100) was flashing rapidly.

That's about when I lost my connection to the router. I immediately went through the standard troubleshooting steps. I rebooted the router, power cycled the modem, router and switch. Still nothing.

So on a whim, I decided to set the speed of my NIC down to 10 megabit full duplex and lo and behold I was able to talk to the router and get a connection. It appears that the 100 megabit portion of my 10/100 ports no longer works. I tried two different PC's in all 3 available ports and no matter what configuration is used, if I have 100 megabit connection set on the NIC, the router will not connect with the NIC.

Has anyone ever heard of this with this or any other router? Is it possible to lose only the 100 megabit connectivity but keep the 10? Do I need to start shopping for a new one before it goes completely out?

also set it to 100/full or 10/half and not auto.
