CD/DVD Drive connection problems

Ok I just bought a second drive, a DVD/CR-RW Drive. My first Drive is a Mitsumi CD-RW Drive also.

The problem is that my computer only aknowleges the master drive. So say I want the Mitsu to be master and Dvd to be slave, I'll change the jumpers and walla the DVD doesn't show up. However If I Make DVD master and Mitsu slave, the mitsu doesn't show up. I have an IDE Cord that is connected to both of them (came with the Asus MB).

What is my problem??

Another twist, is that they both show up in the Bios. It's just when I check my computer or try to put anything in the one that doesn't work nothing happens :/
