Yeah, your "friend" watched too much TV. AP hangun is almost non existant. Stupid TV shows make people think that putting teflon on a bullet will make it AP. It does not. The teflon was used on the first AP pistol rounds because they were made of tungsten and they would quickly destroy a barrel without good lubrication.
