Menzo has gone thread lock happy. Just check out some of the other threads he's locked lately. He probably did it on accident through force of habit.

I think he's getting tired of all the flak and fighting over T:V lately; the IFF stuff, the FP stuff, etc. It keeps resulting in rant-fests, "I hate you Menzo" posts, circular arguments, and other useless posts that take up space and instigate more rude posts. In theory, people would not bug him over his profile if he locked the thread; that didn't go over too well, apparently.;)

That said Menzo, you'd make life much easier on yourself by just stating that you don't want to answer a question(i.e. instead of avoiding the FP questions, just flat out state you won't answer them). ;)

I just think of it as a conflict of interest with the Sierra Rep abusing his power by locking threads negative in nature to T:V. Am I the only one who remembers why we're not posting on the OGL forums? Calling flame threads useless is clearly a Sierra point of view on the issue. I'd say they're useless towards teh goal of selling more copies of T:V, but that was never the purpose of TW. I'm a firm believer that the TW bitching was what made T2 a better game. If it wasn't for this forum we probably wouldn't have demos, better net code, better physics, or a patch way past release for T2.

nope newbs come in here and get an idea of what us hardcore tribes fans are saying and base their opinions off of single threads and sometimes single posts without getting the entire picture...


alot of ppl came to tw before t2 was released and during the release and listened to all the bitching and complaining

they took that info to thier respective forums/communities and said that "even the tribers don't like t2"

that hurt t2's release... word of mouth is a motherfucker in online gaming... and like it or not Tribalwar is the mouth peice for all things tribes... it is important that we not botch this release with STUPID FUCKING POSTS THAT ARE NOT BASED ON A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF THE GAME
