[Golbez-RG-] 07-21-2004, 08:00 PM ...I would have fucking bought Unreal Tournament 2004. Thanks! poisonspider 07-21-2004, 08:02 PM your in beta? are the maps that small? [Golbez-RG-] 07-21-2004, 08:05 PM no I was too stoned and forgot to sign up Thrax wouldnt like me in beta anyway, I'm too big of a bitch, its not my fault for being obsessive compulsive and only expecting perfection :( I could be wrong, there are some good laid out indoor CTF maps, but I just hope its not over 1 or 2 maps, anything beyond that is pushing it Ben Reed 07-21-2004, 08:06 PM It's still a beta, y'know. There's no guarantee that those maps will make the cut in the final version. Even if they are, comp ladders don't have to allow them. Maybe I'm being stupid, but I maintain my optimism. I still say it's way too early to write T:V off...especially over little things like trails. [Golbez-RG-] 07-21-2004, 08:08 PM well thats the very reason I am here voicing my opinion today mr reed, well said Dark|Dragon 07-21-2004, 08:08 PM The indoor maps look big and you do have a jetpack. I'm interested in seeing how they play. [Golbez-RG-] 07-21-2004, 08:12 PM If the levels are as big as they are it could be fun, but being addicted to the Battlefield series since I left Tribes 2, and highly awaiting Battlefield 2 with destroyable terrain, my expectations are high for T:V. If there are a hella lot of buildings with 8 snipers in them protecting the flag its going to fucking suck hunting the fuckers out of the buildings, but it would be badass if you could just fucking blow the building up to solve the problem :) Hunting 10 camping snipers out of 15 buildings surrounding a flag is not going to be fun. Theta 07-21-2004, 08:19 PM 3 indoor maps out of 12 maps that we've seen. oh no! KillerONE 07-21-2004, 08:22 PM I don't think I like your attitude. [Golbez-RG-] 07-21-2004, 08:22 PM if they are fucking awesome maps that would be acceptable, hopefully involving a little different strategy to each and who the fuck cares Killer, die! Zero-Optix 07-21-2004, 08:32 PM Overcome and adapt. KillerONE 07-21-2004, 08:32 PM   Got Haggis? 07-21-2004, 08:49 PM i always liked that one cavern t1 map...it was different.. but....to me, tribes isn't about fighting in bases like some of these maps appear to be.... Darius75 07-21-2004, 09:37 PM your opinion will change if T:V makes fighting indoors enjoyable. the speed pack and grappler may make up for the loss of unlimited jetpack mobility. RedHerring 07-21-2004, 09:45 PM ']...I would have fucking bought Unreal Tournament 2004. Thanks! Facing Worlds was a good map, and it was outside (it was also UT99). So if UT can do a good outside map, then T:V can do a good inside map. I hope. Kingky 07-21-2004, 10:01 PM T2 and the length of T1's staying power has changed maps, map makers place in tribes, and the attitude toward new maps... alot of the maps in competition now are custom maps... IE whatever the game ships with may or may not be what ppl play Fraggy Poo 07-21-2004, 11:41 PM ']...I would have fucking bought Unreal Tournament 2004. Thanks! :nag::nag::nag: Outlaw. 07-22-2004, 12:41 AM i demand lots of big, outdoor maps. i already have ut2k4. ;) Marweas 07-22-2004, 02:12 AM ']no I was too stoned and forgot to sign up Thrax wouldnt like me in beta anyway, I'm too big of a bitch, its not my fault for being obsessive compulsive and only expecting perfection :( I could be wrong, there are some good laid out indoor CTF maps, but I just hope its not over 1 or 2 maps, anything beyond that is pushing it They still have a lot of time to work on maps, and they haven't even really started getting feedback. I wouldn't be surprised to see small but signficant changes in most of them. Dyno 07-22-2004, 02:20 AM I'm anxious to play Royalty, actually. I want to see if, based on the description and overhead layout, it could possibly be good in a Tribes environment. I have faith in the devs but... The ruins of an old palace, Royalty is a tight indoor map with plenty of different ways to get to the same area. The flags are on upper areas of the map guarded by a low ceiling, so you can't just swoop in, grab and go. We'll see. :x | ||
