This question may have already been addressed, but I didn't see it anywhere and I'm curious.
Is there going to be a program like SierraUp for T:V? One that will automatically search to see if there is an update/patch for T:V and downloads it for you ala T2? I always hated having to run around and search for a decent server to download the patches for T1.

T1 had this, but it never worked. If T:V does have this, hopefully it isn't broke like it was in T2. (And yes, it was broke. Everytime I patched T2 through the updater, something got screwed up. I had to manually install the patch everytime.)

I really hated that autoupdater in T2, just the kind of stuff that takes some extra seconds before you get ingame. Useless.

You do know that the classic shortcut just went straight to the game and you didnt need to see all that updater stuff and the motd.

manual updating is fine. as long as there isnt 100 patches
and as long as the patches arent name crazy shit like "patch6765.3Cver." which can be confusing when your trying to install install in order

I'd perfer manual updates, maybe a MOTD memo that the new version is out or something

dunno bout t2, but in t1 the autoupdater was so faulty there was no point. i dont think anyone needs it. just put the extra time into gameplay :o
I'm all about manual updates.
Less room for the updater to crap out and render my game install completely useless (*coughT2cough*).

i dont mind auto updaters, as long as they're fast and save the file on your hdd so you can update later without downloading it again.
