Will a stand-alone dedicated server be available for Open Beta?

And, while I'm here, also a stand-alone for retail?

Or will it require a full install of T:V on a server, then use batch files and switches to start/stop configure server?

Got Haggis?

i'm assuming there will be no dedicated server...as that would allow people to play the beta after it was closed.

Didn't UT2k4 have a dedicated server download - I could have sworn it did. Makes sense, IG doesn't have to pay for massive bandwidth for servers.

Besides I want to put one up the day it's open ;)

UT2K4 had a dedicated demo server as well as a retail dedicated server you could download (you didn't had to pay for) and host upon it's release. You just had to register the server by obtaining a server CD Key.

I would assume thats all they would need for T:V, but as far as beta .. I'm not sure they (UT2K4) had a dedicated server .. I believe they had their own test servers in place for beta ..

I *think* they said they were gonna do something like that. I wish one of the IG guys would confirm this.
