No. Only the instant-heal patches you can pick up from corpses and such, and possible (not likely, afaik) classic repair kits in single player only.

It's been talked about before. The search page and dev tracker are there, you know.

Well im sorry if you think you have to flame me for a question about the game this forum is based around. I didnt wanna start with why arnt Med Kits in the game then have someone post but they are in the game. I wasnt sure. I have looked in the guide and the dev tracker (I didnt go back very far as mentioned) and I didnt see them mentioned.

Anyways, I always saw kits as a big asset in the game. If you took someone by surprise you could get their kit and get more health. You could even give your kit to other players with low health. It was something I sort of expected to be in the game. Like the spinfusor or the energy pack...

I don't consider it a flame just a pointer,ya I agree they were a big asset as to retreving the flag with the energy pack then repair some of the major damage, but the devs said they had to go(don't know there reason for it but its ofn)

I recall thier reason for taking them out was "because newbies forget to use them".

 You're kidding me right?

Once again the game is dumbed down because of newbies.

Which is their whole point, to make some simplifications in favor of the n00bies. Care to explain why that is such a bad thing? It's not like they're taking out skiing...

In T:V the health you'd gain by a kit is added to your base health. This won't make any difference for vets (who would use them anyway), but will help newbs who would not. Get over it.ú

I am over and I am aware of the needs for newbies. I am just cranky because I do not know how T:V is going to be just yet (Thursday woo!).

Tribes 1 was like having a great relationship with a girl for a couple of years. Then Tribes 2 was like finding out that girl is cheating on you with some other guy and then breaking up with her. Tribes: Vengeance is like the new girl in your life who you are going slow with because you don't want to screw it up with her too.

Sorry if I come off as a "LOL THIS GAEME IS GOING TO SUCK SO BAD BECAUZ THR ISNT A TARGETIN LAZER LOL OMG?" person. I just love Tribes like everybody else here.

More like you're getting back with the old girl and are scared she's picked up a VD (from the n00bs!! ;)).

(slight fix...)

And hopefully T:V will be like finding out she's bisexual, was seeing another bisexual woman, and they BOTH want you back.

My understanding for the removal of the Rep. kit was to eliminate offensive camping... or even camping in general. vgrd.

Im serious i forget where i read/saw it but thats the only excuse that was ever given that i saw, about removing rep kits.

I seriously agree, the games being dumbed down way too much, taking out the expirience factor that made long time players all round better than someone who plays once a week for the past month. Example:Things such as having a hugeass flag model now, combined with flag finder and trails, now any idiot can effectivly flag chase.

But it seems to be the way games are going now, casual gamers are the majority of the market, and they spend $$$ on games they like and can easily get good at.

wait till you play it. there will be other factors to determine skill.

Each corpse drops a repair kit, it's just an instant use one (ie when you touch it you're healed). You could still technically camp offensively, you just can't time when you use one as well as you could before.
