Denier-of-Soup 06-08-2004, 01:44 PM new mbr here, i signed up here cuz most of the ppl here kno more about t:v than the ppl at most other ppl.
in the t:v warrior setup will these be an option to choose your armour? (eg. BE, imperial, phoenix)
and also if you have chosen, for example, the bloodeagle armour and then you go to join a srvr and join the starwolf or phoenix team, will your armour still show up as a BE or will you be forced into the armour of the team you have joined?
BlodBath-VuP- 06-08-2004, 01:46 PM You'll only wear the armor of the team you join, however you can change the specific skin for that armor. At least that's how I understand things.
Zoolooman 06-08-2004, 01:47 PM You can't select your armor. Your armor is determined by your team.
You can determine your own skins though. Simply step onto an inventory while playing and you'll be able to select a skin for your favorite.

No offence intended... but where are you getting this information from?
Mr Rabies 06-08-2004, 02:00 PM No offence intended... but where are you getting this information from?
many devs have said so, and at e3, you could.
Zoolooman 06-08-2004, 02:02 PM I just pay attention to the available information.
Denier-of-Soup 06-08-2004, 02:05 PM omg x_x
so that means if we're skinning, we'll have to make the same skin for all 9 armours? (since all armours have different shapes)

If your lazy, just Photoshop recolor an exisiting skin, and it turns out alright. (I did it with my signature, just click on it to load the proper version)
And yeah, sorry I musta misread what the devs said. But I'm rather pleased with the outcome.

This could easily be made down to 20k
Also, anyone know where you select male/femlae? And voices? Or was that not in at E3?
Arcanox 06-08-2004, 02:22 PM Naw acctually I refuse to bump the quality or size down. It's just who I am.
Zoolooman 06-08-2004, 02:26 PM I bet it could be fit under 20k without compression artifacts larger than 3 pixels. On 600 x 800 monitor or higher resolution, you couldn't even tell that it was compressed.

Denier-of-Soup 06-08-2004, 02:48 PM 0_o???
so when we're skinning do we get to choose which armour shape the skin will go on? or do we have to repeat it for all armour shapes?
pyrot3chnic 06-08-2004, 09:50 PM I thought the reason they were restricting skinning was to avoid re-coloring of objects.. player models included, to avoid the visual advantage of neon colored skins. Especially now with the sensor-dependant IFF system. If I remember correctly, it's been said that you won't be able to use any custom skins unless the server allows it.
Zoolooman 06-08-2004, 11:10 PM No. You can use custom ARMOR skins. You can't use custom anything-else skins.
BadMoFo 06-08-2004, 11:19 PM most of the ppl here kno more about t:v than the ppl at most other ppl.
Zoolooman 06-08-2004, 11:37 PM Don't question it sissy, for it is truth.
pyrot3chnic 06-08-2004, 11:43 PM No. You can use custom ARMOR skins. You can't use custom anything-else skins.
Yes you can use the ones that come with the game or the ones a server allows. You can't just extract, edit, and pop it back in like you can with the previous two.
Zoolooman 06-08-2004, 11:56 PM What? No, you can use custom armor sets like the old games, but you cannot use custom anything else skins without making it a modification of a sort, such as a mutator.
That's my understanding.
