So can I perhaps register again once I get a new system in about a month? I play competitively in ut2k4 currently, runs fine on my machine. But I'm thinking there's no chance in hell of me being considered for T:V beta with a p4, 1.7, 526? ram.

Signed up.

I hope I get in. I didn't get into any of the World of Warcraft beta phases and I desperately need a new game to play on my computer. Tribes: Vengeance would fill that role quite nicely.

The point of most beta tests is not to get all the people with the most powerful systems, it's to get a good distribution so the game can be tested on a wider range of machines. So as long as your computer can run UT it's probably not going to disqualify you even if it's not the latest and greatest.

Nah, a good percentage of the current Vet 3's are people who signed up post T2; even more in the lead up to T2. There isn't much of a shortage.

I'm certain that VU will be running their own servers and protecting the server like a hawk to make sure no unauthorized beta servers pop-up to serve all the warezed beta clients.

If its anything like the UT2k3-2k4 dedicated server, eff, if people were offering boxes to use, I'd take it up in a heartbeat (even if I just got a dedicated server install, and no beta). The thing eats resources like mav eats hot dogs, and why buy dual xeon and P4 boxes to run it when people can offer for free :)

I'm still getting the error...and yes I've activated every Active X control I could find under IE options.

Because they stand to lose alot more in the long run if the closed beta suddenly becomes a free-for-all.

phht, a proper bribe would consist of -cases- of beer.

If thats the case then, how about this.

My dads company installs beer tap systems in bars and resturants. How would you guys like taps at each one of your desks? :browsmile
