Well it worked from home, however I don't think they are going to accept a 1ghz cpu. I was waiting for beta to buy a new machine and now I bet I am going to get screwed.

DO: Use IE to register. It's required. If you don't you won't get in.

DO NOT: Register from work. We will use the system specs collected to decide who gets in, and if you have a 16MB video card, you won't get in.

No need. We've already got 1000 submissions. Of those, fully 30% decided not to include their mailing address, thus precluding our sending them anything like say... a beta CD. Not that you'd do such a thing ;)

I'm not sure most people don't realize they are being sent a real copy on CD. Especially when the form doesn't "require" the address to be filled out. So most people think.. hey, it's not required so it must be a downloadable beta. :shrug:

Honestly, I hope we get a group of people that are vigilant in getting the game into tip top shape. Really taking the time to reproduce bugs and submit them for fixing. Not just play play play and send.. I was skiing and it crashed.

I definately want more people playing T:V and certainly don't want them being chased away by UE's and patching problems that scared a majority of newbloods from T2.

Yeah, of course I do. Just seems that the whole thing is leaning towards the typical UT2K4 player with a beast rig. That, and the whinging will be incessant. Not that I have any problem with it. It's a good PR move since TW/bittah will be where all the said whinging will be quelled (hopefully). I'm looking forward to more "round is good!" essays :P
