News: Beta Signups Beginpyrot3chnic 06-08-2004, 06:16 PM Of course the game's stable, so that's a lie, but it will make you feel better gdit, why did you have to say that? Hurricane Harold 06-08-2004, 06:17 PM Just wait calmly and say to yourself, I don't have to put up with the hellish crashes and server dumps that the early idiots do. Of course the game's stable, so that's a lie, but it will make you feel better I like unstable software in closed beta tests. It makes me feel like I'm special because I have something to report, heh. At that it's so interesting to do, seeing the game progress over time, and partially from your feedback. Of course I've only been in a couple closed betas, but they were/are pretty interesting to be part of. [meph]DooM! 06-08-2004, 06:17 PM Dang, it's like toddler hour at the OK Corral. KnightMare 06-08-2004, 06:22 PM Are gf4mx's allowed to be in the beta? Putrid 06-08-2004, 06:23 PM well, I give up, there isn't anything way I can get the form to show for more than a second or two before it errors out... guess I will hang it up for now and put my security settings back before I go browse some porn or something :browsmile :winkwinknudgenudgeknowwh atimean: :bouncy: Fool 06-08-2004, 06:27 PM Get someone to submit your info for you Putty Neek 06-08-2004, 06:27 PM Sweeeeet! Signed up as Neek, so has my roomate Tacky Tricky who is currently doing sketches for the DS project. I hope we get in... (fingers crossed) So when does it actually go from closed to fully open beta? Will we have to re submit applications each time the beta expands? Are there going to be mapmaking/skin/model/gui tools as well? SarcaStick 06-08-2004, 06:32 PM heres to wishful thinking. ;) Putrid 06-08-2004, 06:34 PM Get someone to submit your info for you Putty lol, bad enough giving my info to Thrax :browsmile , let alone someone here <goof> Chic0 06-08-2004, 06:34 PM heres to wishful thinking. ;) Maybe for the rest of us, why WOULDNT you get in sarca..you were in sticks, you did the conversion project, you throttled a punk at UVA..you'll get in ;) CxD 06-08-2004, 06:34 PM go me go Fool 06-08-2004, 06:34 PM Oh well, no harm in trying. RegisteredFruit 06-08-2004, 06:35 PM Had to do a second submission, this time including my mailing address. It required me to use a different e-mail address. Hopefully they won't notice the first =/ CooLGuY 06-08-2004, 06:37 PM I've seen a couple people say that you can't use free e-mail addresses...I used a hotmail..and everything worked correctly..it said 'we will contact you shortly'..do I need to register again, using my charter account? *edit* And can multiple people register from the same household? :) Thats what kept me from getting into tribes2 beta. I have a brother that wanted to get into it as well and they said i tried to sign up for it twice. blah dont try it FngrBANG 06-08-2004, 06:46 PM Signed up as Fngr... Just so's there won't be anymore "llama_24381" shenanigans like that asshole East predisposed me to suffering in T2. Ben Reed 06-08-2004, 06:50 PM I know the game will be extremely bug-ridden with the closed beta, but I'm applying nonetheless for two main reasons: (1) I figure it's time I made my mark in Tribal history for something besides being a smart-ass and an ex-Renegade-turned-base-pubber, and (2) depending on how late the open beta starts, this may well be my only chance to really play the game, guilt-free (I won't be spoiling my grades!) for a long time to come. Breadman86 06-08-2004, 06:53 PM Starts and *Starts* Are frequently two different things. In this case it means we'll have selections done and be able to say "it's in the mail" sort of thing. At any rate, the first group will be like 30-50 people, so you're almost all going to be looking in from the outside for a while. Just wait calmly and say to yourself, I don't have to put up with the hellish crashes and server dumps that the early idiots do. I bet those 30-50 people already knew they'd be the first in anyways simply because of their name recogniztion and pre-experience with T:V as well. I could probably name them but I won't. Still, haha I'm not jealous cause this news came out way before I'd expected it too... either way I'll be hopping into a T:V beta server earlier than I thought I was going to, and squashing some of those nasty bugs. So yays all over! WarAngel 06-08-2004, 06:57 PM whelp... I guess I am screwed, I applied with Mozilla from my laptop. Kingky 06-08-2004, 07:00 PM just don't let in the haters is all i ask Putrid 06-08-2004, 07:14 PM whelp... I guess I am screwed, I applied with Mozilla from my laptop. they don't want to let gurlies play anyway.... :bouncy: | ||
