when you pre-pay for T:V and attend tribal-wars, are the betas going to be in a file or cd?

Question is, how is the beta security going to be? The best beta protection I've seen for FPS games, is when the game client can't host games on its own or play by itself. Instead, only being able to play on servers that have the other essential files. Kinda sucks for practicing things by yourself, but it's awesome at killing leaks and rogue servers.

I like leaks since I'm not going to test the game. I remember a couple other games I tested... I wasn't even authorized and I was turning over bugs! Gimme a cd plz!

A friend of mine took the essential files for the beta of Jedi Academy and just handed me a disc. Beat the game before it was released. :)

I'd be too eagerly trying to kill someone to participate in a beta for a Tribes game. I'll wait til it goes gold. ;)

I have a question about that. I would really like to get a copy of beta, however I am not preordering the game, because me and some teammates won a tournament and all have free copies. I've been informed by the head of the tournament that Sierra has confirmed out mailing adresses and the such, so would I be able to get a copy of beta, although technically I didn't preorder?

Yeah but that was perfectly acceptable. We downloaded those of an FTP as it was. I am assuming you're talking about Legends and Savage?
