fresh install woes...

Long story short my HD got wiped...Having to fresh install tribes...
I am running presto, newopts, warpoints, and poop's skinny pack.

two problems
1)My favorites list (servers) is not saving between exits (I have to refresh all and redefine favs each time I start tribes)

2)I am using the 5150 sound pack. I have chat bound to 'c'...and when I start tribes, pressing 'c' brings up the right chat menus. However, when I change loadouts (key is numpad0)..it brings up menus to browse to correct loadout ingame. Well, the next time I press 'c' for my chat menu, it brings up the loadout menus. Same thing with waypointing menus. They work correctly, but when I press 'c' for chat menu after using waypoint menus, it brings up waypoint menus.

Before I had to fresh install, I had figured out a way somehow of telling the old chat menus to be 'n', so that if my chat menu got messed up, pressing 'n' would bring up the correct, full 5150 list. After that 'c' worked correctly, as it is bringing up the last menu's displayed..
So far I haven't been able to figure out what I was doing..which means I can't use the chat menu (I tried defining both the new and old chat menu's in prestoprefs, but it brings up either one of those, not the 5150 list)

Any help?

1) This is happening because of people using characters in their server names that Tribes does not like. To fix it, go into Tribes and set up your favorites. Then use WordPad to open the GameServerList.cs file in your tribes\config folder. Make sure that you use WordPad and not NotePad. Delete any server entries that take up more than one line in WordPad. This should solve your problem.

1) when I do what you mention in word pad, it only shows two that go over 1 line...I delete them both and save after setting up list in tribes, but when i exit tribes, then go back in, faves still not set up. The wordpad file is also reverting back to where it has 2 things over one line.

why?

Don't do a "Refresh All" after you fix the file. Just do a "Revesh Visible".
