So we all know that base turrets in vengeance are not automated at all. There was a post here ( http://www.tribalwar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=295942 ) about a reason to have them automated and had some good points in it. The devs are also trying to make the sensor network more important ( http://www.tribalwar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=293567 ). Anyone think it would work well if the turrets were automated but only when you have your sensors up? Just want to read other people's opinions.

Then you have to tone down the power of the turret. Right now, turrets while functional are quite powerful when used. If you make them automated, you have to tone down their power as a whole, sensor related or not. Not to mention, you would make the sensor far more important to the game than it should be otherwise.
It's no fun getting killed by an automated turret, particularly ones with the power of base turrets. That's why they've gone the route of making them manually controlled, with the only automated turrets being the weak easy to kill ones.

ugh... Im not sure how effective this will be on the game... There better be some big turrets to fuck the flag carrier up...
Automated turrets were good because alot more people attack than ever think of defend.

All in all, after thinking about these changes which I at first didn't like, I think this new
scope of game play will make the game more interesting and probably more fun. I guess I was a little shaken at first but with all the media and reviews out now I'm not going to even question the new changes.

And if it sucks they'll fix it or we'll murder them all in the beta before the game even gets released :D

Its not a good idea because people gunning the turrets would get kicked out as soon as the power went back online.. Just a little too confusing with 16 people on a team..
