I wouldn't mind the birds if they acted as individual bots, and then they would be limited in number and processed by the server.

Then I would play Duck Hunt, yes. :)

The only thing That I think would be cool would be riding around on mechanized wild cats (Tigers, Etc) like He-Man or D's horse in VHD. But that just wouldn't fit.

Good to see that this thread is a joke.

Theres a skeleton of a 3-eyed dinosaur-like creature in one of the screens of a toxic wasteland looking map.

would be awsome to see some critters. nothing big... that would be dumb. but some bugs or birds would be cool. add to aesthetics and realism

You will be able to put critters in. Youll just have to model and do it yourself if T:V dosnt come with them programmed in.

I'm trying to make a Forest UT map with random velociraptors right now... (I'm failing and Taking me ages, but thats most probably because its my first utmap)

Ever played invasion in UT2004? They can be done like that. But less of them.. and they walk around idle untill they see you...

The only critter I would ever accept in TV would be a Panda bear with Thrax's head on it
What about Marweasel?

And an ant colony made of Ant Ormans and IrritAnts.

Just wondering if TV will include critters e.g birds, lizards, butterflies, mosquitoes, flies, bees etc. Just to make the world look more alive. Looks kinda lifeless at moment

i wouldn't mind critters that have a real impact on the game as in ants that attract to you and cause damage if you camp in one spot or giant almost undestructable creatures that attack you if you are out of bounds, once you run back in they will stop their attack like those dogs and electric fences

I believe there was a discussion about a lobster deployable a few months back. The other pyro made a nice illustration of it... it'd fit in nicely here right about now.

That would be clientside, not server side. If the animals were non-interactive, that is. (which they should be. ) They are really just window dressing, so i imagine you could be able to turn them off like environmental weather effects.

Things that make the world seem more alive are good, so long as they don't screw with the gameplay.

1. I hope you aren't being serious.

2. You can't go OOB in T:V

that would be cool if one of the weapons was a giant mangifying glass....then you could 'pop' ants all day long while you were bored defending the gens.
